In 1998, they were impeaching Bill Clinton. Now they are claiming Hillary as one of their own.
The center has shifted....to the left.
So the old center-left is now the hard left, the center is now the center-left, the center-right is the new center, and the far-right wingnuts are where the center-right used to be. And considering the wingnuts constitute the remaining 25 percent who still support the Bush administration, we're definitely not a center-right nation.
