Pollgasm
This is just incredible. New CNN poll:
Eighty-four percent of those questioned in the survey say they approve of how Barack Obama is handling his presidential transition.
And 60 percent of registered Republicans have "a positive view of Obama." What does all of this mean? For starters, expect to hear on Morning Joe this week: "Why can't Obama close the deal?"
Meanwhile, President Bush leaves office with an approval of 31 percent. The lowest poll for a departing president since Nixon. 68 percent say that his presidency was a failure.

It's still very, very scary that nearly 1/3 of the electorate think Bush was anything but an utter failure!

Kansas,
There is no such thing as an unconscious hypocrisy. The dead-enders are quite aware of his miserable failure, but they have rationalized it within the mental framework of their worldview.

I suspect that poll was within the U.S.
I would toss out an uneducated guess that in the rest of the world, there would be an even larger majority giving hope to what Obama will do & a much smaller percent approving what Bush has done in his term in office.
It does however, give hope that the majority of Americans have finally given voice to reason...none too soon for sure.

Thanks for that link.
I noted that every point made was directly from the talking points list. Apparent those people only get their news from Fox and other faithful distributors of the 'Holy Right Wing Talking Points'™.
Uncritical thinkers, every one.
