The Insane Notion of Steady Good News
Posted by JumpyPants
A lot of people ignore the news because they just hate being bummed out. But since President Obama's election (I urge you to say or write "President Obama" at least 10 times a day. It's medically proven to make you younger.), we have been getting an awful lot of good news along with the usual requisite Super Size of bad.
Here's the latest:
President Barack Obama's first public act in office Wednesday was to institute new limits on lobbyists in his White House and to freeze the salaries of high-paid aides, in a nod to the country's economic turmoil.
Question that must be asked to anyone considering voting GOP, despite the obviousness of the answer: why didn't a pay freeze and lobbyist limit happen a year ago, when the economic turds were being flung at the fan of our daily lives?

Cheney said, not too long ago, that no one saw the financial crisis coming.
I hope that clears things up.

That sound you heard is half the members of Congress peeing their Depends. If this whole "we need to deal with what the average U.S. Citizen has to deal with" holds...oh man.

Cheney said, not too long ago, that no one saw the financial crisis coming. What Cheney meant was
I did not see the financial crisis coming. When you spend all of your time in undisclosed, secure locations, you tend to miss the signs and clues of economic downturns. This is also true of the people that spend all of their time at their offices and country clubs.
Since many economists predicted this economic collapse, I can only conclude that Cheney does not read newspapers and only watches Fox News.
I applaud Obama's latest move.
We need to remove corporations from campaign financing to return the government to the people.

"That sound you heard is half the members of Congress peeing their Depends."
You meant ALL the members of Congress, didn't you? Last time I checked, every member of both parties was unzipping it for lobbyists.
