The New Taint?

MSNBC is reporting - without giggling - that New York Governor David Patterson is planning to tap Caroline Kennedy. He is waiting to tap that until Hillary Clinton is named as Secretary Of State. But it looks like he's going to tap Ms. Kennedy, sources close to the tapper say.

As I recall, upon taking office, Mr. Patterson owned up a a bit of free range tapping of his own accord. Cold winters and cheap Albany no-tells...............

What is the opposite of Taint?
Could Patterson become less tainted or somewhat untainted by tapping on a Kennedy?
If you do something good or helpful does it reduce your intaintedness?
