Limbaugh Rules the Republicans
The other day, Fred Barnes wrote a column in which he claimed to have scientific proof that the climate crisis isn't man-made.
His scientific source?
Rush Limbaugh's former producer and current Senator Inhofe blogger Marc Morano.
Science!
And on the Limbaugh note, the very serious leader of the very serious Republican Party claimed yesterday that the banking crisis was a conspiracy led by George Soros to get President Obama elected.
Serious!

I once had this conversation with a Republican. (Paraphrased.)
R: You know, this whole global warming thing is just something that scientists make up so they can get more money from the government. What a shame that people can make stuff up and get paid for it.
Me: Thanks for insulting me and every other scientist out there. You know what we call people who make stuff up and get paid for it?
Fox News anchors and right wing talk show hosts.
(end conversation.)

Here is what really gets under my skin. The media is accusing Obama of "fear mongering" when he talks about the consequence of inaction on the economy. However....when John McCain "suspended" his campaign, the same media was calling him "a leader" and "heroic".
All this economic mess is to the Republicans, Limbaugh and the so-called liberal media is a game of politics. Much like Iraq was nothing but a game of ideology to them. Sadly their games cost lives.

Trustno1,
You are my GODDAMN Hero! That is fucking great.

Someone needs to point out to the morons on that there teevee that it's not really fear mongering when you can show examples of desperate people; when you have half a million people losing their jobs every month; when you have 20,000 people dying unnecessarily every year b/c of a lack of health care. Fear mongering is saying IF we don't this extreme thing THEN something horrible will happen. Hey, news fuckers, something terrible is happening and I'm scared to death it's going to happen to me UNLESS something is done. See how that's different?

these far right dunderheads are becoming more and more bold and outrageous in their spreading of blatant mistruths, and glenn beck is leading the charge.along with mocking al gore and global warming, theyre attempting to sell us this nonsense about how FDR was a failure and he made the great depression worse.i understand glenn beck gets paid to behave like a hypocritical maniac, but the "liberal media" is basically falling in line.it doesnt matter that the facts about fdr and the new deal were established decades ago.y'see, theyre teaching our kids this socialist propoganda because our schools and universities are all run by liberals and/or socialists.oh my god theyre turning our kids into socialists.or liberals even!!!now that the american people have spoken clearly and rejected outright their entire ideology and the dangerously incompetent leaders and media personalities who peddle it,they are attempting to literally rewrite history.

I first heard the FDR and his new deal were failures line in the early 90s from a typical moron who fancied himself an intellect - as a classic misogynist, he was particularly incensed that my wife was able to intelligently counter his every stupid comment. I suspect he heard it from limbaugh or one of the other hate-peddlers that sprang up to oppose President Clinton- man were they pissed they lost to that hick.
No surprise that they're back trying to sell that line 'o crap again.
they are attempting to literally rewrite history. They succeeded with making uncle ronnie a saint, so vigilance is required.

Thanks Rush - just when I was starting to think that the right had no fringe group of nutjobs parallel to the left's "George Bush orchestrated 9/11 for political leverage" people, you ride in to save the day!
Also, I second the motion of GI - trustno1, that is fucking epic in it's awesomeness.

Thanks, GI and rogect.
Sadly, that was pretty much the end of any positivity between me and that particular individual. Then again, there is little more important to me than the truth, and if someone can't stand to hear it, feh.

Funny thing...........HuffPo will delete your comment if you refer to Billo as "...a sack of fetid human garbage...." But, I mean, I'm right...just listen to him! Afraid of hurting his feelings? Liberal site, indeed!
