Morning Joe... Later
You know what's awesome? Republicans who disown George W. Bush as "not a real fiscal conservative." Scarborough, for example, was trying to pass of this line of hooey to Paul Krugman this morning. It's Scarborough's usual routine:
Let me just say, though, that George Bush over the past eight years had the most disastrous spending policy. They decided to cut taxes, they decided to increase the deficits, they decided to increase entitlement spending while they were fighting two wars. They made no tough decisions whatsoever. You can't say that that's the traditional conservative approach to economics. It was a disaster. I think we can all agree with that can we not?
Yeah, this is an actual Scarborough quote from this morning in which he appears to be disowning the Bush tax cuts and the wars and so on. Joe Scarborough, for the record, vocally supported both wars, he supported the Bush tax cuts, he supported the reelection of Bush in 2004 and he supported John McCain (more tax cuts!) in 2008 -- and therefore he, by definition, supported the Bush spending policy. I want Joe Scarborough to name one Bush program he was against.
The point is that you can't have been in favor of the Bush wars, the Bush Homeland Security bureaocracy, the Bush tax cuts and all the rest of it, and be opposed Bush's spending.

If I recall correctly, didn't Barack Obama campaign on providing Tax Cuts to everyone making less than $250K a year? And weren't they better than McCain plan?
Can you promise tax cuts to people even when you believe it's "failed policy" ?
Can you elaborate?

Not to go all Lou Dodds on you but the middle/working class has been ruined under BUSH. President Obama is trying to level the playing field. McCain wanted to lower corporate and capital gains taxes not for poor people. Plus, people without money tend to spend money faster than rich people.

In the words of Colbert to Scarborough.."I watched you, and you loved everything that cat did for years." This is all just to promote Scab's book coming out this May. I don't feel like finding the link now , but it promises to "call out" people who ruined the Republican party and carve out a map on how to take back its conservative values, or some bullshit. Don't ask me why Joe feels like he is qualified to be the new leader of the Republican party. Also, Mika has a self help book for women coming out soon...I shit you not.

Scarborough would have been exactly like the other repub robots. He would have done whatever Bush/Cheney told him to do. What a hypocrite.

What Scarborough needs to do is write a book detailing what really went down with Lori Klausutis.

Another eruption from The Joe Hole.
What can I say or who can I crap on to make myself look good today, Mika?

I can't watch Scarborough. I am sure it is unhealthy.
I am curious though about how he talks so so much about when he was in Congress but at the same time he resigned mid-term.
People do not resign prematurely at a young age from a position they regard as so impressive that they never stop running their mouths about it. So what can the conclusion be except he resigned to extinguish scandal?
It looks like that would destroy his credibility as a broadcaster even if his arrogant ignorance did not.
