Zero Cred
Yep. You heard correctly. On September 2, just days before the initial financial collapse, Rick Santelli said, "I think the economy is healthy."
If McCain had won, this statement would've made Santelli our Treasury Secretary.

Credibility! Let's listen to Santelli on the economy more often.
ADDING... Oh look! Palin-Santelli 2012! I really, really hope so.

I love the, "Making money is different from what is written in textbooks!" This is the national anthem of the GOP/SWGILM/REDNECK/EVANGELICAL Movement.
"We don't need no book learnin that is pussy shit!"
Someone with more time than myself needs to research the "degrees" that all the "business" men in Washington hold. I will bet my left nut that half of the GOP Senators/Governors/Congresspeople were "Gentlemen C-ed" their degrees.

I hate to ask, but what is that graph referring too, there was no indication as to what those numbers refer to.
Just wondering

It's the stock market

Anybody who knows anything about investing listens to anybody BUT Santelli. His niche is US treasury securities, as in, he is used to trying to CONTROL the market on short term debt, not stocks and long term bonds.

This Santelli quote (9/2/08) about our 'healthy' economy seems to support the position (hypothesized by Robert Gibbs -Obama's Press Secretary) that Santelli doesn't know what he's talking about.
When was the last time we saw a WhiteHouse press secretary resort to telling the truth in dispelling a critic?

Cpandtle -

That is a graph of one of the most important numbers worshiped by the Greedy Old Pricks - The Dow Jones Industrial Average.

Santelli or John Thain as Treasury Sec. With Phil Gramm heading up McCain's version of an Economic Advisory Board. It's enough to make you sick.

Now who is taking things out of context. Business news is something you need to pay attention to every day, picking things out of thin air. A traders world is a little differnt from the journalistic reality you find yourself in.
