Master Whah?!

We don't need any further proof that Glenn Beck has reached a level of crazy somewhere in the range of a Moon Landing Conspiracy Theorist and a full-blown End Times Street Evanglist.

I normally don't quote such large blocks of text, but this is something to behold:

BECK: So here you have Barack Obama going in and spending the money on embryonic stem cell research, and then some, fundamentally changing – remember, those great progressive doctors are the ones who brought us Eugenics. It was the progressive movement and it science. Let’s put science truly in her place. If evolution is right, why don’t we just help out evolution? That was the idea. And sane people agreed with it!

And it was from America. Progressive movement in America. Eugenics. In case you don’t know what Eugenics led us to: the Final Solution. A master race! A perfect person. …. The stuff that we are facing is absolutely frightening. So I guess I have to put my name on yes, I hope Barack Obama fails. But I just want his policies to fail; I want America to wake up.

I'm speechless. The volume of crazy here is staggering.

Please someone tell me if this is wrong. They will be taking the embryos from IVF clinics that are destined to be destroyed anyway and they will use them for the research. Is this correct? They are not going to strap down blonde, blue-eyed women and forcefully take their eggs, are they?
Glenn Beck is starting to go a whole lot of crazy. Reminds me of the propaganda guy from the movie "V for Vendetta"...

Look, I'm all for The Eugenics™ if it can cook us up a Master Race that guarantees the utter evaporation of whatever gene pool grew Glenn Beck in its murky, primordial depths.

Also, I've always preferred Annie Lennox's solo work to anything she ever did with Eugenics. Though I do enjoy "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)".

You really can't blame Beck. He's just afraid he and his kind will be wiped off the planet. He is far from the Master Race.

Cuckooooo!

That would be Eurhythmics, Elvis, which I'm also in favor of if we can rid the gene pool of whiteys who clap on the wrong beat and make dancing a possibility for the rythmically challenged.

Rage:

Yes. It's like trying to make something that might save lives out of garbage. Some people that pay for IVF also pay for follow up "care" of the unused embryos; some do what are called "snowflake adoptions" where infertile couples have unused IVF embryos into the mother so they can experience pregnancy bonding. Most, however, are thrown away.

Here is my question: where is all the outrage over IVF? Why do we (and by we I mean they) protest the good and healing that can be done with the unused embryos, but not the process that creates them?

Sounds like picking and choosing (again) to me.

wow...its like,violently absurd.
so thoroughly offensive and simultaneously stupid.
hannity, coulter, ingraham, malkin etc...all these goofy maniacs are real easy for me to laugh off/at.but i have to admit, this greasy twat really disturbs me.its actually really scary to think that theres a whole shitload of people out there taking this guy 100 percent seriously.not only are they buying the super douchey poison he's peddling, they think he's a fucking hero.they think he's speaking for all the "real americans" living out there in "real america".they think he's giving them all the facts that the "liberal media" doesnt want them to know.
bob,you talked about it before-this guy is deliberately inciting the absolute nuttiest of the wingnuts and someone-a reporter/politician/employer/wife-is going to get hurt.and it will be clearly traced back to glenn fucking beck.

The voices of the Conservative Movement are all voices of escapees from INSANE ASYLUMS!!!!

With everything we have to worry about - the opposition party should be in straight-jacks in rubber rooms!

Posted by: exoevolution at March 10, 2009 11:55 AM

He is scary and he is inciting the crazy right loons to violence.
We need to listen to these crazies and call them out every time they make these absurd statements.
We can no longer allow them to go unchallenged.
There is no one to stop them, the republican party is in shambles with no real leader except rush, who is at least appears smarter then Beck.
If the republican party is not careful the loons will take it over.

After some thought, I've decided that the Republican "slippery slope logic" is not unlike the following:

Dr Ray Stantz: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!
Dr. Egon Spengler: Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes...
Winston Zeddemore: The dead rising from the grave!
Dr. Peter Venkman: Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

Glee Cock is obviously insane. I don't know that he's inciting anyone to do anything, though, besides maybe to repeat his rantings as fact and look foolish in the doing of it.

Posted by: Nanotyrannus at March 10, 2009 12:24 PM

Shouldn't we be stop calling it the "Liberal Media." At this point we should just start calling it the "Socialist/Communist Media."

Not that I agree with that, but the conservatives no longer call Liberals "liberal." The word "liberal" just doesn't have the sting it did during the Reagan/Bush years so the Neo-cons have decided to move on down the political spectrum to calling liberals "socialists and/or communists."

My feeling is that we are not far from Coulter, Beck, and Rush calling it the "communist media." We might as well beat them to the punch.

Posted by: Sierradrinker at March 10, 2009 12:26 PM

Beck needs to be ridiculed for pushing absurd theories like this one. Actually, I don't even think I can call this a theory, because it is VERY clear that Glenn is simply mentioning stem cell research and Eugenics in the same rant so as to create a link between the two even though one does not exist.

Posted by: SensesFail at March 10, 2009 12:44 PM

Glenn Beck is BATSHIT crazy!!! He and Michelle Bachmann would make the perfect couple in wingnuttery land...

Posted by: norethug98 at March 10, 2009 12:50 PM

Reminds me of the opposition to dissection.

Why do Republicons hate science?

Lol, Elvis. Here I was thinking I was the only one who could transition from a conversation about Nazis to one about Annie Lennox.

Seriously though, has anyone else noticed that whenever the other side raises a concern it's like, at least a half century old? Evolution is Darwinism, which is evil (and somewhat ironic given that most of them seem to enjoy the Social Darwinism©) Nazis, commies, Marxists, Nazis, eugenics, and Darwinism and Nazis, and fascism and nazis... But at least Annie Lennox can still knock out a kickin' album.

In summary:
Glenn Beck=douchepuppet
Annie Lennox= awesome sauce

Bob, you need to start pacing yourself a bit. Too much exposure to the idiocracy of the right could be bad for your long-term mental health.

Posted by: NorCalNative at March 10, 2009 1:42 PM

Someone should tell Beck that eugenics is already happening, and it has nothing to do with stem cell research. Anybody hear about that those infertility docs who say they can determine what the skin color, eye and hair color of an embryo is before being implanted, so the prospective parents can choose not only the sex (that's been around for a long while) but the looks of a kid. And that's just the beginning. Sounds like Sci Fi but its not. And yet, I haven't heard one conservative make a peep about what the infertility folks are up to. Not one.

Posted by: Elena at March 10, 2009 1:54 PM

That's the problem with the gene pool which produced Mr. Beck: There's no lifeguard on duty.

Posted by: Packy at March 10, 2009 2:59 PM

mmmmmmmmm pickled eggs.

Glenn Beck, the ranting and raving moron on my Tee Vee should be makde the leader of the Disaster Race.

Was he born that mentally deficient or has he used drugs to achieve his total lack of critical thinking ability?

How does stem cell research become eugenics in his dementia?

No one has proposed a eugenics program other than rich wealthy WASPs the force their deficient children on us as defective leaders.

Posted by: SillyRatfacedGit at March 10, 2009 3:42 PM

His program should end with his image frozen on screen as the '66 hit "They're coming to take me away" is played.

I have this bad habit of switching to Fox News when Billo is on. My wife hates it when I do it, but it's kind of like when you have a sore tooth that you can't stop fucking with even though it hurts like hell. Thankfully Beck is on while I am at work, so I am not tempted to subject myself. He actually makes O'Reilly look half sane. Wow.

Posted by: Hugh_Jass at March 10, 2009 5:35 PM

Eugenics? Why would we need eugenics when we have already obviously evolved WAAAAY past the Beck's of this world.
;)

And the GOPer's are doing a great job of destroying their party all by themselves. We don't need science to do that. We just need plenty of popcorn and chocolate to munch on while we watch.

Posted by: eve at March 10, 2009 7:33 PM

It is clear that Beck has decided that to be the big cheese on Fox he has to out-crazy O'Reilly.

His problem is that he overshot the mark. His over the top insanity has had the unintended effect of making O'Reilly appear only mildly imbecilic.

Poor Glen
