Tea Bagger Blog Fail of the Day

If you recall, wingnuts were mailing tea bags to various public officials, but, ironically enough, post-9/11 security measures were preventing the tea bags from getting to their intended recipients. So now there's an effort to send photos of tea bags instead.

A far-right blog called "ActaNonVerba: Action, Not Words!" goes one step further, advising readers to send tea bag labels as well as photos. But notice the "here" link in the screen cap below.

The "here" link points to a Google image search for "tea bag." Here's the image results page the tea-bagger is linking. First page, first image results:

Yep. That'd be a photograph of a dog tea-bagging a cat on a park bench. Now, I assume the tea-bagger doesn't want us to send the dog-on-cat tea bag photo to our elected officials. I assume.

LOL. That's great. Good find, Bob.

Oh Bob, go just a few pics further in that link and you will see an even more graphic pic of "teabagging"

OHHHHHH!!!!

Should be send shipments of teabags to the WINGNUTS?!!

Or maybe pics of REAL "teabagging"...........

How about a little teabag counter-revolt for these nutters?

:)

I can see Russia from my tea bags! But never on Tea Bag Thursday.

Posted by: NorCalNative at March 22, 2009 1:42 PM

oops....typo....too many cups of coffee this a.m.

*Should WE send shipment....etc...

Posted by: Terri at March 22, 2009 1:49 PM

do we need to get a permit for our teabag counter-revolution?

Posted by: linus at March 22, 2009 1:50 PM

Nope...

How about tealeaves out of the bag....let's just let loose! Give 'em a big mess to clean up?

Or, how about we send them some WINGNUTS or NUTS 'cause that's what they are!

Not to mention the grammatical incorrectness of "Dear Leader's" and "capitol idea!" Unless of course someone clever enough to suggest Tea-Bagging as a straight-faced means of political rebellion meant that as a Witty D.C. Pun. Which I fucking doubt.

Teabagging from the Ancients

I don't have any elected 'thugs' to mail anything too. Can I mail a clue to the teabaggers instead? Where I am all of my representatives in Washington were elected by a majority of the electorate. If you have an elected thug that is a local problem that you should deal with locally. Don't project your problems onto others.

I have a repugnant Republican Representative named Adam Putnam who voted 95% of the time the way Bush wanted. I did not vote for him. He is not a 'thug'.

I have two Senators - Martinez and Bill Nelson. I only agree with one of them, but neither are 'thugs'.

It's very difficult to take people who refer to their elected officials as 'thugs' seriously.

@ Cesca and Ruthie

At some point in the future, when the pendulum has swung back the other way, your google search histories will be entered as evidence against you.
The frequency of the string "tea bagging" will be more than enough to convict you.

"And are you trying to tell this court, Mr. Cesca, that you were searching for photographs of orange pekoe? Earl Grey, perhaps? I think the jury is well aware of the difference between oolong and 'Ooh! Long!"

They only serve chamomile where you're going, you subversive perverts.

Posted by: cousinavi at March 22, 2009 2:54 PM

cousinavi...LOL!
Not the term "tea bagging" but merely "tea bag" gets those perverse images. That nasty internet!

Chamomile it is then.

Posted by: Ruthie at March 22, 2009 3:30 PM

Nasty internet?

Foghorn Leghorn voice: As mah Daddy use ta say, it ain't the magazines that are dirty, son. It's the folks who read 'em.

Is it a prerequisite to be a moron before joining CPAC?

I can just imagine Grandpa and Grandma seeing that picture and not even realizing what it is?

Posted by: GItheJOE at March 22, 2009 3:44 PM

Cousinavi,
Laughed hard on that "oolong and 'Ooh! Long!"

Wonder what their kids are saying about them?

Listening to Mike Pence this morning was all I could stand!

Especially repeating the lie about how Obama's tax increase is going to effect small business!

Posted by: kansasdem at March 22, 2009 4:56 PM

What are the odds someone clicking on that link has safe-search off?

I would hazard a guess you would get much, *much* worse.

Posted by: ltmon at March 22, 2009 6:33 PM

Actions, not words. Yeah, because mailing Lipton boxtops will get their point across so much more than respectful, rational debate. (By the way, I'm being sarcastic.)

Posted by: Shelley Bee at March 22, 2009 6:54 PM

come to think of it, perhaps I should scrub my search history...

Ha, I love the Turbo Tax ad on the right-side column. Is that a subtle shoutout to Lil' Timmy "Turbo Tax" Geithner? :-)

Posted by: Kyle at March 23, 2009 8:50 AM

Bright side: fewer layoffs of postal workers with all this silly mailing?

The cats must be confusing to some of these idiots.
