That MSNBC Dow Graphic
Media Matters posted that extraordinarily dishonest MSNBC Dow graphic which tries to make it seem as though the Dow has tanked only since Election Day.
Hey look! Barack Obama has destroyed the stock market!
Oh wait. Here's the DJIA since its high water mark on October 12, 2007.
That light red area highlights the Bush Republican era, and the sliver of blue on the right is the Obama era. (I've updated this from an earlier version and added the yellow transition period between Election Day and the inauguration. It shouldn't even matter because George Bush was president until Janurary 20, 2009. But MSNBC doesn't seem to grasp that fact.)
That MSNBC graphic is a journalistic disgrace. Something FOX News would do.

Well, the modern journalist...Isn't very good at their job. They don't give much thought to what impressions the things they say and do actually give.
Is Obama doing too much? Is he doing enough? Some people say the administration is failing. Is it?
Is it possible that there's a much more neutral way to ask these questions? Is it safe? Is it safe?!

This just doesn't fit into the KO and Rachel MSNBC model. I would think that Rachel and KO have to be more profitable than Morning Joe. It just doesn't make sense to spend the entire day reporting falsehoods like FOX then have KO and Rachel tear down that tower of bullshit down.
