Wingnut Revolution Fail

It's getting to be too easy.

I mean, they picked an historically incongruous form of protest (the actual Tea Party was a protest against a corporate tax cut). They picked a sexually fetishistic theme (tea bags). They're claiming to "go Galt" while not literally going Galt. Once again, I don't think they care how ridiculous they look -- it's all about making LOUD NOISES. It's speaking in tongues. But they'd be much better served by, you know, making sense.

Best comment on that story so far:

They clearly missed the sequel: Atlas Rolled On The Floor Laughing

Bob,

I think you cracked the bible code with this one.

>>But they'd be much better served by, you know, making sense.

Conservatism, wingnuttery and supply side economics will never make sense. Loud noises and shiny objects have served them well for 30 years but the American attention span has become 30 seconds due to the corporate media they have controlled for so long. They were their own undoing.

The clueless leading the clueless is more of a Clusterdouch™ than an actual revolution. They are using douchebags for real, but got confused and wrote teabags instead. Making sense is the least of their worries.

Soooo...

The Sons of Liberty protested a tax cut. Would that make them new Liberals? Go Democrats.

Could it be they were protesting the fairness of the cut. Everyone had to pay a hefty tax, except for 1 company, basically controlled by the British. If that company didn't have to pay a tax, why should everyone else...wait, wait, they shouldn't pay, they needed a bailout, because without this cut, they would have gone bellyup.

Douche, asshat, uberdouche...(just thought I would try a few of your phrases). Lower taxes mean higher profits for companies supporting American jobs. Fact.

>>Lower taxes mean higher profits for companies supporting American jobs. Fact.

Actually, over the last 7 years the median household income went down 0.6%. This is a falsehood that only snakehandlers believe. Bush cut taxes, jobs still went overseas. WAKE UP BEFORE THE TALKING SNAKE BITES YOU!!!

Fuck the working man. Make the working man handle the entire tax burden of the republic. Ship middle class jobs overseas. Kill the unions.

I just thought I'd try a few of their phrases.

The odds of those people having read all 1100 pages of Atlas Shrugged is just astronomical. They're dittoheads. Not much more to it than that.

bob...i disagree with you in the sense that i believe the teabaggers very much care about how they look.the problem is,they actually think they look VERY cool.they believe that, while essentially fighting against a middleclass tax cut and defending the absolute wealthiest, those who have been affected the least by the recession, that they are actually fighting for "regular folk".as sarah palin would say,the "real americans" out there in "real america".
i think that they think they look very very cool, and revolutionary and rebelious(while waiting in line at some government agency to get a permit to protest against the big horrible government.

Since when has any politician made sense?
