Worst Person

Michele Bachmann inciting armed revolution and/or assassination:

"I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back. Thomas Jefferson told us ‘having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,’ and the people – we the people – are going to have to fight back hard if we’re not going to lose our country."

First, how the hell does cap-and-trade become losing our country?! Second, Michele Bachmann is insane. Third, can you imagine if, say, any random liberal had said such a thing about George W. Bush? I mean, MoveOn published an advertisement rhyming "Petraeus" and "Be-tray-us" -- hardly inciting violence or an assassination -- and the entire Congress voted to condemn such a thing.

Batshit indeed. I wonder when these repubs will realize how insane they're acting? Can you regain a sense of shame after having lost it?

Posted by: Theghostsong at March 23, 2009 6:12 PM

I want to know why she isn't stuffed and cuffed as we speak. "Armed and dangerous"? Are you fucking kidding me?

Just when I think these fuckers can't possibly get any crazier/insane.....

Posted by: BlueFan at March 23, 2009 6:20 PM

Goddamn it. She could even take steps in furtherance of this incitement to riot and civil unrest / treasonous bullshit, and I'd STILL not get the pleasure of seeing this batshit nuts braindead freak manacled and pimp walked up the steps into court like the gutter dwelling piece of shit she is.

What sort of mutant population of inbred freaks and circus geeks reelected this ragged, ignorant fucking joke?
While I see the pot/kettle irony in it, I still want to suggest that Bachman simply needs to be dragged behind a truck out into a field somewhere and unmercifully ended.

Michele Bachmann: PSYCHO F**KTARD!

ms bachman is one dangerous person. why continue to cover her and give her a broader audience. people like her certainly don't need additional exposure. where is your sense of responsibility? she certainly has none but that doesn't mean you have to promote her ignorance, stupidity and chicken hawkishness.

Hey Michele,
Go fuck yourself!

Posted by: KidDynamo0 at March 23, 2009 7:11 PM

Kosmo - it's important to know what they're saying. A festering sore doesn't get healed by ignoring it.

Posted by: ceu at March 23, 2009 7:21 PM

Have they ever been this scary crazy before? I mean, I know they've always been nutjobs, but this is getting way out of hand.

They're literally making me sick to my stomach with this shit.

I really hope a Secret Service detail is at the very least paying a visit and asking her a few questions. Discretely. This isn't a joke or a political move.

Good Gawd Lawd Baby Jayyyssuuus! These sexually repressed fundies like Michele "I Submit to Mah Husband, Lawdy I Does" Bachmann, need to get laid in the worst way, but instead they decide we all need their "services" and run for office. A little torrid sex, a la Bakker/Swaggart/Haggard, and we'd be rid of them in public office, fo' sho'!

"Just becasue they are out to get you doesn't mean that you aren't paranoid" Steven Brust

She's speaking metaphorically folks...read it again.

#1 statement "I’m a foreign correspondent on enemy lines and I try to let everyone back here in Minnesota know exactly the nefarious activities that are taking place in Washington."

#2 Statement "The main thing we can do right now is be foreign correspondents reporting to you from enemy lines."

"On the issue of Obama’s proposed cap-and-trade energy tax on Saturday's radio show, Representative Bachmann expanded on the war METAPHOR:

#3 statement “I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back."

Please, you guys. Really.

Hmmm....Metaphors, huh? So that's how you do it.
I just need to come up with some snappy, pithy, well-constructed Bastille / Abu Ghraib / Hutu-Tutsi METAPHORS in order to, you know, metaphorically illustrate what I think is really the best way to respond to this sort of brainless, LCD pandering imbecility.
I COULD just say, "Michelle Bachman should be dragged from her senate office by a pissed off mob, shamed and tortured for amusement while I snap some photos and then hacked to pieces with machetes while a tire is hung around her carcass and lit on fire," but that would be wrong.
Proper form requires metaphor.
Hmmm. Would it help if I said all of the foregoing in alternating voices of Bugs Bunny, Marvin the Martian, Foghorn Leghorn, Sylvester the Cat's son in some thematic tribute to Looney Toons?
Perhaps the thematic concept doesn't quite rise to metaphor. Maybe I need some costumes.

I hate this woman so much that it would take charts and graphs to even come close to describing my level of disgust and rage!!!!

I truly believe she IS insane!!!!

Of course, she's bigoted, truly stupid, hypocritical, and DANGEROUS!!!

How the HELL did she get elected?????

And now is when I come clean: I'm deeply embarrassed to admit I live in this bat-sh*t crazy person's district!!!

She makes robo-calls to my phone, and I have NEVER EVER voted for her in my life!!!

Luckily I let my answering machine screen them. I couldn't bear to call her office to ask to be removed from the list. I am a registered democrat, so it's beyond me!!!

GAG!!!

I think it's a Palin thing: totally ignorant but she's not ugly. So many men voted for her!!!

I can't understand any other reason WHY she would have been elected - TWICE!!!!!!!!!!

Double- GAG!!!

Cousinavi-

You're one of those sad types who has become what you despise. Read your words, your worse than she is dude.

BTW that makes you embarrasing, cause you've become the other side's version of a wingnut.

Posted by: LurkLurk at March 24, 2009 1:33 AM

A politician, ANY politician, calling for a revolution is absolutely laughable. It's freakin' hilarious.

Note to all elected officials: Who in the hell do you think we'll be revolting against, you dumbasses?

But hey, our elected officials want to lead a revolution. Wow! I'm so stoked!

@ Lurk

Perhaps you missed the earlier post where I recognized the pot/kettle hypocrisy (a veiled indicator which might be taken, by those who have some experience with the genre, as "prepare yourself - satire ahead").
Or, perhaps you only dig the light, skipping sort of satire - that Leacock kind of thing - and don't really get into the darker grooves.
Or, even more likely, you've just got your head up your arse and thought nipping at my ankles might help you to feel better.
Still though, bit of a stretch to say I've become what I despise with the rank condescension of BillO...as if I were literally advocating hacking Michelle Bachman into pieces with a cane knife (why do I smile every time I type that?).
I'd explain how and why you haven't the first fuckin' clue what you're talking about, but you'd no doubt stick to your initial, shallow, myopic and literal interpretation of my exhortation to Hutu violence.
Lastly, please note my forbearance as regards your weak spelling and atrocious grammar. As I say, accidents happen. It's the stupid shit I can't tolerate.
