Ending the Debate on Torture

I figured out how to shut down these ridiculous arguments from the pro-torture right, including Joe Scarborough who again this morning is taking an "anything goes" approach to national security.

Here's my solution: The Obama administration should issue a report that torture was also used on "right wing extremists." Then listen for the cries of "Fascist Obama!"

Still doesn't work. Torturing God-fearing Americans who bleed red, white, and blue is fascist. Torturing terrorists (or people accused by someone with a grudge or who owes them a couple goats of being terrorists) is patriotic and protects us from threat of imminent attack.

okay,so fox(with plenty of help from msnbc and other "liberal media" outfits) is going full steam ahead with their efforts to paint anyone who opposes torture and/or would like to find out the truth about what crimes were commited and by whom,as "farleft loons" who are in bed with george sorros.as if only the socialist communist hippy pinko gay marriage cap and trade pussies are interested in upholding the laws and morals of the united states.
why is it that nobody in this "liberal media" of ours can manage to be honest about this.theyre running that moveon.org ad on a near constant loop, saying "see, people who oppose torture are one and the same with moveon.org and we all know how awful, hateful, wacky etc...THEY are.

the fact is however, there was a poll conducted a few months back(im pretty sure it was a gallup poll,or possibly pew) that showed that 2/3 of americans want to see an investigation into the issue, either by congress or a criminal investigator.
its the same way theyre attempting to convince us that only socialists want healthcare reform, and only weak kneed cowardly liberals oppose wars.
its gotten to the point where damn near any information broadcast on television is not to be taken seriously.

Well how about this:

Assholes like Scarborough will invariably make the argument that any means are justified in preventing "the next attack." And television hosts everywhere let this go unchallenged. Every time!

I ask, how can you know that a detainee has knowledge of a strike that's about to take place, unless you can read minds (in which case, there would be no need for interrogations in the first place)? I have never seen the TV show '24,' so I need for someone to describe for me a scenario in which "enhanced" techniques are needed because the doomsday clock is ticking... Just give me an example of an attack that was averted in this way. Wouldn't that have been declassified and reported by now? Show me an example, and I'll shut the fuck up.

Ending the argument:

Volunteer to be a month-long recipient of "enhanced interrogation techniques" at the hands of our CIA interrogators, or STFU.

If they volunteer, they're off the air for a month. Also, if they volunteer, they will either break down and admit that yes, this IS torture, or they won't. If they break down and admit that it is torture, we win. If they don't, we win, because - why the heck are we doing this if we can't get anything useful out of people by doing it? If they don't volunteer, we win, because their lying hypocrisy is exposed.

All around - this is a win-win-win-win scenario!
