Getting Bitter and Clinging To Guns

Remember that Mayhill Fowler audio recording that's been widely considered to be Barack Obama's biggest gaffe?

...it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

Untrue! Untrue! How could Barack Obama be so insulting and belittling of -- yeah.

wow. bob i hope you post something on huffington post about this to get a larger audience. not placing sole responsibility on them but definitely connecting the dots that they are planting these seeds and fear into the people. and not just that but they are also the ones that have made the u.s. a less desirable/non hospitable place over mexico/vietnam/etc! when you have immigrants robbing gas stations waiting for the police just so they can get deported back to their country something is seriously wrong!

Bob,

That's irony for ya. You must have been reading my mine. I was just talking to my friends about that same topic yesterday and this morning.

Lets see over a 4 day period, we had 3 dumbasses go on killing rampages in NY, PA, and WA. Not to mention the massive increase in gun purchases since the election. And the icing on the cake, the numbnuts in pittsburgh who really believed Obama would take away their guns, spurred on by the Faux Noise Channel, and Limbdick.

And people thought he was stupid for making a comment like that, when in fact, much of what he said is true.

The comment was right on. It totally inflamed my religious relatives.

Oh God I wish we could get rid of all the lobbying bribery and the religious psychos. I know. asking way too much.

When Obama made that comment he got so much heat from it but I, along with many people I suspect, thought and still think he was not only right on but very brave to say it knowing the crap he would get for saying it. We started seeing this bitterness and hatred activity during the Palin rallies on the campaign and it was very scary then. And now some right wing bloggers and media are actually coming out encouraging it. What will it take for someone on the right to call it out and put an end to this dangerous game they play? I shutter to think.
