Eric Cantor thinks 2010 is his year:
GOP Whip Eric Cantor thinks his party can retake the House in next year's midterm elections -- and accused Democrats of "overreacting" to the economic crisis by embarking on a federal spending spree.
In other words: when the economy recovers, it'll be because it was going to happen anyway and the Democrats just went overboard. That'll be the Republican line. It'll be grossly wrong and misleading, but that appears to be what Cantor is planning (or fantasizing about).
