He's A Superhero!
A really, really awful superhero. Republican strategist Phil Musser can tell if someone is guilty or not just by looking at them. He has Super Duper Guilty Vision!

Total Twatwaffle.
I saw this live. I almost killed my TV with a shoe. You know that you are over the top incredible when Noron calls you on it.
Fortunately his ass was ripped off and shoved down his throat. I think O'Donnell has run out of patience with Teh Stupid™.

PWNED!!!!!!!!!

WHAAA??! "If you ask people in Newton, Iowa today, they're probably happy that our country is trying to do everything possible to keep us safe."
Yes, Newton, Iowa. The crown jewel - the Mecca - number one target for terrorists in the United States.
And I want to see more Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC and every other talking head show for that matter. He's been on a quest these last couple of weeks and he's not holding anymore or being polite when asses like Phil Musser says he can tell guilt just by looking at the Gitmo detainees.
Posted by: Broadway Carl™ at April 22, 2009 3:47 PM
That should read "holding back..."
Posted by: Broadway Carl™ at April 22, 2009 3:49 PM
Lawrence O'Donnell is either running for office or the 10pm slot. He is a Teh Stupid slaying liberal robot straight from the uterus of her Holiness Arianna. KEEP GOING!
Posted by: GItheJOE at April 22, 2009 3:49 PM
George Carlin on how to get out of jury duty: "I can spot a guilty person just...like...that!!!"
I noticed that I have been reacting to all this torture business by thinking of various comedy routines. I think that that's the only way I can wrap my mind around this insanity.
This should not be a partisan issue, for God's sake.

Boosh! Twice in one day, Larry. Boosh, and/or ka-kow! (Cacao?)

A disturbing, but at the same time, such a glorious image.
And I would fucking LOVE to see him at 10 p.m.

That sums up the Bush Administrations approach on Foreign Policy and on combating terrorism.
Instead of asking hard questions like how we can curtail the hatred against our country the previous administration said "Let's Kill some Ragheads!"
Posted by: Chris Koeber at April 22, 2009 4:36 PM
Well if my mamma didn't teach me right and I didn't know better than to judge a book by its cover, I would say I can tell he is a pedophile just by looking at him.
Posted by: idreamofskiba at April 22, 2009 4:40 PM
idream - ftw.
Posted by: jenski42 at April 22, 2009 4:44 PM
Boosh indeed!
O'Donnell is the only other person over Cenk Uyger who I would want in that 10pm slot on MSNBC. He is on fire. I love how he uses logic to absolutely destroy their talking points...fantastic. Keep it up Lawrence.

What a douchebag!
Posted by: Grandpa Eddie at April 22, 2009 4:46 PM
Yeah Kat, You're right. You can see it in his eyes. He lusts after little boys. He likes to dress them up as little ragheads.

Lawrence O'Donnell kicks ASS!! I've been keeping my eye on him as of recent and have been impressed with him more often than not.
Posted by: Rob at April 22, 2009 4:51 PM
It's very simple:
Is the suspect brown in color?
Yes.
Then they are guilty. Say, let's call it a day -- President Bush doesn't work past 5, so why should we?
Posted by: AC at April 22, 2009 5:05 PM
Yes you were trying to pass yourself off as someone of some credibility, you bag of douche-goo. That's why you made a point of relating your experience at GTMO and how it was obvious that they were guilty of something.
I want to have Lawrence O'Donnell's babies. Or some reasonable facsimile thereof.
He'd be great in the 10pm slot, but honestly, after one week of ripping these bozos ten new assholes, none of them would come near his show ever again. Maybe it's best if he stays on the split screen so we can watch his penetrating gaze as he makes them shit their pants.
That was, however, masterful and a joy to watch.

Who was the dude on Hardball who kept saying over and over, "The report on torture is a Democrat partisan report." Tweety did not correct his incorrect use of the word Democrat either. Arghhh...

Whether you agree with the methods used to get information they saved us from another attack. If you don't believe it then releasing the memos Chaney wants to release should make no difference. In this case the outcome should be fair and true

Git, as much as I would like to take credit for it, that delicious bit of snarkification came from the lovely and talented skiba.

Wow. What a truly bad comment. Where to start....the man's name is Cheney. Chaney was an actor - the man of a thousand faces.
As for "saving us from another attack" - do you suppose the families of people who died as a result of the anthrax mailing agree that there wasn't another attack? How about those who died by the hands of the DC Snipers? Safe? Hmmm...no.
And it isn't a question of whether or not one agrees with the method - TORTURE IS ILLEGAL! Even more illegal than not telling the whole truth to a grand jury about a blow job! Unbelievable, I know, but still true. Personally, I think I should be able to shoot out the tires of the cars that play their radios WAY too loudly while at the traffic light near my house - and the outcome would be damn good for the neighborhood, but IT'S ILLEGAL. So I can't.
The Torture Memos were released as a result of an FOI request by the ACLU from 2003. Cheney is certainly free to file his own FOI request and deal with that horseshit for 6 years, too. No one was being unfair to the poor enablers of torture - they have the same right as anyone else to request information. And they have the same responsibility as anyone else to FOLLOW THE DAMN LAW or pay the consequences for not doing so.
BTW, how great was the info they were getting if they had to waterboard KSM every 4 hours for a month?? The 183rd time's the charm, eh?
Posted by: ceu at April 22, 2009 6:36 PM
And what about the soldiers who were killed or wounded in Iraq?? How "safe" did BushCo keep them??
Posted by: ceu at April 22, 2009 6:43 PM
And I can tell Cheney and Rumsfeld are guilty just by looking at them.
Posted by: Marie at April 22, 2009 6:47 PM
@ceu, thank you.
Also that dude would probably argue that the 184th time would've worked like a charm.

There are no facts in evidence to support such an assertion. Please submit evidence to support your statement or I shall ignore it as unsubstantiated bullshit.
42 presidents kept us safe from foreign terrorists. Only one failed to keep us safe. He then proceeded to ignore our constitution and laws. He failed to protect us from 9/11, the anthrax letters, and the D.C snipers. He committed acts of terror by destroying our values and lying to the citizens about threats to our safety. The only terrorists I want to see brought to justice are Bush, Cheney, and Rove.

Lawrence is awesome. He calls them on their shit.
Posted by: mattpddm03 at April 22, 2009 7:18 PM
Git,
To be completely fair, under President Madison enemy with whom the United States was at war (Great Britain) invaded the continental U.S., and caused widespread destruction on several cities, including in Washington, D.C., where the White House was burned.
Posted by: Benjamin at April 22, 2009 7:28 PM
Right, Benjamin. It was AT WAR with another country, not random terorists or terrorists groups. To be completely fair, FDR was attacked by the Japanese terrorists at Pearl Harbor.

Not to mention everybody under the freaking sun who dealt with the "enhanced interrogation" (besides the big names you would expect) has said that it doesn't work.
Posted by: Alex at April 22, 2009 8:20 PM
SillyRat,
I sympathize with your point, but disagree on that last sentence.
I really really want all terrorists to be prosecuted. The sucky thing is that Bush et al made that an impossibility for so many of them.
Posted by: AC at April 22, 2009 10:00 PM
He's not making allegations against the individuals (after all, prejudice doesn't target individuals; it targets groups)--but it was an individual experience (very personal) for those who were on the receiving end of "enhanced interrogation techniques."
