re: to cover the crazies or not

If you ignore it there's a chance that larger media might legitimize it

BUT there's also a chance larger media might ridicule it as well

Anyone see the Ed Show's "Crazy GOP" segment tonight?

Posted by: Elias at April 13, 2009 7:18 PM

Hahahaha that guy faceplanting on Glenn Beck was exceeellllllent!

"I'm passin' out.....I'm...passin' out..."

Right up there with

"Don't taze me BRO!"

"dude got the vapors" hehe...fe that's awesome!

i'm more shocked by becks shoes than anything! cool kicks for such a crazy douche! maybe it is all an act...

Posted by: gypsy at April 13, 2009 7:19 PM

gyps, you're like the fourth person I've seen say that today!
I think we're judging people by their shoes too much.

Posted by: fe at April 13, 2009 7:25 PM

Elias -

Yes I caught that. Ed is growing into his new show rather well I would say.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 7:30 PM

I judge the rat bastard by what comes out of his mouth. I can put dog shit into nice shoes. It doesn't make it smell like ice cream.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 7:32 PM

Fe....we may have finally discovered the source of Beck's insanity: cerebral hypoxia! In some people, lack of oxygen will make them pass out....others will begin babbling complete horseshit. Beck obviously falls into the second category.

Hello,

I am a Republican and did not vote for Obama, thus my comments are authentic and not political rhetoric.

1). The Tea Baggers and the whole anti-tax movement is treasonous and anti-American. Obama won the election and we are obliged to follow his policies and laws. These Tea Baggers can get the hell out of the US of A if they don't like it here.

2). Obama handled himself spectacularly with regards to the Somali pirates and rescue of the American captain. There was no drama, no press conferences, just quiet back door meetings (17 over the weekend) while plans were put into place. When the opportunity presented itself the commander in the field had Obama's approval to do what ever was necessary, and it was over in minutes.Clean, quick, done.

I am starting to like BO.

mike: good to hear it.

From TPC:

The three-judge panel has issued their final ruling in the Minnesota Election Contest. The Coleman case has been "dismissed with prejudice."

Posted by: Somali Pirate at April 13, 2009 7:50 PM

where the F is our media on the Minnesota race. If the roles were reversed, the BBQ media would be pressuring Franken every night to concede--just as they did with Gore and Kerry.

This is ridiculous--

Posted by: JG at April 13, 2009 7:52 PM

Welcome Mike.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 7:55 PM

Hey Somali pirate....didn't I just put a .50 round through your cerebellum about two nights ago?

Posted by: Navy SEAL dude at April 13, 2009 7:56 PM

oh god, are we going to have another insane night where this asshole with multiple personalities just talks to himself?

Posted by: fe at April 13, 2009 7:58 PM

JG -

Our Media Cartel is wholly owned and operated by Corporatist Propaganda Inc.

They have a heavy right wing bias which is why they repeatedly refer to the 'liberal media' to confuse the teabaggers.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 8:01 PM

mike the lurker, i wish more people from your party displayed a clear coherent thought process. obama needs time before he can be a failure or success. the majority of your party has not given him that. nobody said he is perfect. there's things i don't like but i'm waiting to see what will actually happen before i get all "OMG" about it. ;)

fe, i totally sum up people based on their clothes. i'm not mean or treat them differently but the way someone dresses says so much personality wise. just to repeat i DON'T judge people based on their clothing i just stereotype them! ha!

Posted by: gypsy at April 13, 2009 8:06 PM

Ha-Ha the world is crazy

Rush Limbauh 4-13-09- Hostage Rescue

"that was to congratulate President Obama for a job well done. And I think we all must agree, folks, that when Obama does something right, we gotta go out there and we've got to acknowledge it. We gotta say he did a great job, and we've gotta be open-minded to the fact that Obama's going to do some good things, and so Jonah Goldberg leading the way here in showing us how this is done. There have been others to jump on this bandwagon. I would like to not only jump on the bandwagon of praising President Obama for a brilliant rescue, not only a plan but its execution"

Why am I at work at 8:15 p.m.?

Because I spent half the day when I should have been working making bloggy goodness for you.

Posted by: Kyle at April 13, 2009 8:15 PM

Wow, tea bagging discussion notwithstanding, did Shuster just make a Dick Army dick joke?

Posted by: Alex at April 13, 2009 8:21 PM

Posted by: Kyle at April 13, 2009 8:28 PM

Naturally

Posted by: Alex at April 13, 2009 8:29 PM

Git, can't Coleman appeal till the cows come home since it was dismissed with prejudice? I know he has a certain number of days from the time the final order is signed to file the first appeal...or am I wrong?

Posted by: Ady at April 13, 2009 8:30 PM

Posted by: fe at April 13, 2009 8:31 PM

The world is not really crazy.

I'll credit Rush L. for not being an ass like he usually is.

The result of the hostage standoff is what I expected since we now have a competent President that solicits the inputs from experts and makes a decision. The pentagon folks now how to pull off that sort of operation so they advised him and he gave the go command.

This is the way it is supposed to work when you have a competent government. Totally unlike what we had for eight years. Katrina was just the poster child for the incompetence.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 8:32 PM

fe, the page you linked to, much like a ninja, could not be found.

Posted by: Kyle at April 13, 2009 8:33 PM

If he appeals again he needs a new basis. With prejudice means that the basis of that case has been found to have no merit and he may not refile that basis in any court ever again.

Hey, that's one of my favorite phrases. The q's...What DO they mean.

Also, Lou Dobbs is spreading Beck-like hysteria. And is spreading the fear that Obama will be taking away people's guns. WTF? I thought he just talked about how he hated Mexicans and brown people?

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 9:20 PM

ha, el mystico, thanks.

Posted by: fe at April 13, 2009 9:20 PM

AdyLeigh

No real meaning to the q's. It's just a letter that I like because it is underutilized and it looks cool. If it were not for quota, quote, quick, quart, quarter, quartet, queer, queen, quite, quiet, square and squirrel we wouldn't need it at all.

Since q is so underutilized I've always had this silly theory that there must be billions of them floating around free looking for someplace to be. When then spurious q appeared on cminri it triggered a flashback to this theory.

Have I told you that I sometimes think about very strange things?

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 9:32 PM

@git--part of your charm

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 9:36 PM

have you guys seen this?

I don't want one party rule, I want our democratic republic back

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 9:39 PM

Adding--I want another party to compromise with once we get out of the ditch the previous idiot got us in

I want us to be united, with our differences and none of us being "evil"

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 9:41 PM

I like q's too especially in Scrabble.

In one apartment that I lived in, sQuirrels chewed a hole through the dry wall and came into my apartment. Yes, sqqqqqqqquirels. I called them the Shawshank Redemption SQuirrels. But, holy shit, 4 of 'em came into my apartment late one night!

Posted by: Ady at April 13, 2009 9:41 PM

VeraLynn, WAKE UP! You're dreaming again.

Posted by: Ady at April 13, 2009 9:43 PM

then there is this

so all is well again, thanks Ady

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 9:48 PM

I just noticed that Ady misplaced her Leigh.

Thank you VeraLynn. I've grown fond of you as well.

I do my best to lower the bar here, or so I've been told.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 9:49 PM

Vera -

I think we need six parties, four minimum.

Two parties is almost as bad as one. I agree that one party is NFG.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 9:52 PM

you do no such thing git--I read that thread today and I disagree, I always enjoy your snarkiness

Ady does that from time to time

and cm I like the q too, it adds spunk!

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 9:55 PM

Ady-- I love the squirrel story, the creepiness not the actual happening lol

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 9:58 PM

Guys, I don't think we can get around having one party for a while.

As for the "vapors" on Glenn Beck's show... Well, that failed rectal surgery allows some mighty bad fumes to escape Mr. Beck's lower extremities. Maybe he should outfit his future guests with gas masks.

Posted by: Matt Osborne at April 13, 2009 10:02 PM

I kind of like the idea of 4 parties git after thinking about it. 6 might be too much

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 10:03 PM

VL, I do what from time to time? Misplace my Leigh? Damn, you guys are on to me.

I like the q's, Git.
And please share your strange thoughts. I have many of those myself.

Posted by: Ady at April 13, 2009 10:04 PM

no Matt, I am good until we get to where we need to be

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 10:04 PM

Vera, did you have a means of chasing the squirrels out?

Posted by: Matt Osborne at April 13, 2009 10:05 PM

no animals freak me out unless they are puppies Matt. I just imagine myself in Ady's position and it creeps me out. I would run like a girl screaming, which is good since I am a girl.

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 10:07 PM

Squirrel are a PITA. Especially in ur houz

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 10:08 PM

Vera: Puppies?? Freak you out??

But not dogs???

Posted by: Matt Osborne at April 13, 2009 10:09 PM

HOLY SHIT!!!

ElMystico is a Dr. McNinja fan too!?!?!

Next thing, I'm gonna find out I'm in a room full of D&D players...

(Expecting crickets with pained expression)

Posted by: Matt Osborne at April 13, 2009 10:10 PM

Matt: I originally posted the link, so there's three of us here. You're on your own with the D and D thing, though - not even I'm that nerdy.

Posted by: fe at April 13, 2009 10:15 PM

Right now we have three viable parties not counting the republicans Dems, Green, Libertarian

There are others.

Here's what I'd like to see

Green

Socialist Party (I'll be in this one)
Liberal Democratic
Democratic (Blue Dogs can fuck themselves here)

Libertarians

Conservatives
Neoconservative Wingnut Party
Fascist Party (Corporatists)

So that's eight.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 10:16 PM

I grabbed my keys and ran screaming out of my apartment. I think the sqqqqqqqirrels followed me outside...it was totally terrifying.

Crickets can have expressions? I had no idea. But VeraLynn and I have seen smiling dogs.

Posted by: Ady at April 13, 2009 10:17 PM

silly: problem with that, I'd imagine, is gridlock and even more partisan bickering.

Posted by: fe at April 13, 2009 10:20 PM

fe: there's nothing "nerdy" about D&D. Just because role-playing gamers have higher IQs does NOT make us "nerds." Besides, my half-ogre paladin will KICK YOUR ASS if he hears you saying that!

:-P

Posted by: Matt Osborne at April 13, 2009 10:24 PM

Matt -

I don't play D&D either. I have, I like it, but I never got into it enough to want to put that much time into it. My oldest daughter plays every Sunday. She's 24.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 10:25 PM

own the nerdiness, Matt. Accept it. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

Posted by: fe at April 13, 2009 10:27 PM

Half Orge Paladin? WTF? D&D was before my time. However, love role playing games.

Posted by: GItheJOE at April 13, 2009 10:28 PM

I see your point git, but I am not sure we (Americans) could handle all those parties/interests. like fe said, more bickering and name calling

it would be ok with me if we were more honest, which is what I think you are doing

@matt-- lol no I don't like animals other than puppies (dogs are considered puppies) in my house. I inherited a cat when I moved in this house and they are ok, but I am a dog person. And yes Ady, my puppy smiles everyday!!

and I hate crickets, especially camel crickets, I have those damn things in the house sometimes, hate them, hate them, hate them. they are evil looking mfer's

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 10:28 PM

and I would have loved to play D&D but all the boys wouldn't let me...but I am not bitter about it at all grrr

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 10:29 PM

Matt, how is the ole spinal injury today? Are you immune to pain killers and opiates yet?

Posted by: GItheJOE at April 13, 2009 10:30 PM

fe -

Please look at the way things work in Canada and most European governments.

To pass things you need a majority. This means that parties form coalitions of allied parties.

The socialists, Lib Dems and Dems are an automatic coalition and you have the Dem party we have now.

Look at how the Blue Dogs always want to trot off hand mate with conservatives, let them. I'm tired of those DINO asshats.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 10:30 PM

However, love role playing games.

Completely agree, Joe.

Posted by: Kat at April 13, 2009 10:32 PM

A half ogre as a Paladin? Pssh inconceivable!

Posted by: Alex at April 13, 2009 10:32 PM

fair point, sillygit. I don't think it's a good idea to have a socialist party, though. While I tend to agree with socialism, I think the stigma is too great. of course, having more than 2 parties is a pipe dream anyway.

Posted by: fe at April 13, 2009 10:34 PM

DINO? Douchebag In Name Only? Love it.

Kat and America, you are welcome.

Posted by: GItheJOE at April 13, 2009 10:37 PM

GI: I'm not immune to hydrocodone when mixed with gin. "Alcohol may intensify effects"

fe: I Do embrace the geek. Long live the geek!

Alex: "Big Tom" has a helluva backstory. He needed one, since the DM was extremely skeptical.

Basically, imagine a ten-foot tall gorilla in shiny plate mail with a maul(a sledgehammer of cartoonish proportions) who stomps into battle yelling "KNOCK OFF ALL THAT EVIL!" and you can see how our game sessions usually proceed.

The funny thing is, my character is completely oblivious to the Drow elf in the party. It's friggin' hilarity every other Tuesday night.

I think that's Jesus also the fuck too.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 10:47 PM

I don't know, Vera & Ady. Men are pretty replaceable these days. :) I mean, we now have Raid, apartment living, and instruction booklets. The one time that I really miss a man is when I need to clean behind the fridge. Because those are heavy fuckers.

Posted by: Kat at April 13, 2009 11:22 PM

Haha well then its probably not grass, it is weeds. Goodluck killing weeds.

There is only one fool-proof method I know of to permanently kill weeds..

Have a group of guys eat a few pizzas while drinking whiskey followed up by a sack of 50 whitecastles. Then go outside and puke.. thatll kill them I know. (long story)

Posted by: J M Ashby at April 13, 2009 11:23 PM

Kat - Nothing else you miss about men? thats a shame

Vera - In additon to the car, blocks, and fridge, I believe you forgot the lawnmower that sits unused in the knee-high grass.

and I can't do that to my neighbors...I like them for the most part, so I conform. I don't like it, but I do it. It was my grandparent's house so I feel an obligation to keep it nice.

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 11:36 PM

Vera - I wasn't implying that your yard may look trashy, I was just trying to make you laugh. I'm going to have an inherited house to deal with in the not too distant future too.

Git - You know that they are just going ignore the spanish indictment. They ignore our government, why not ignore Spain too?

Posted by: J M Ashby at April 13, 2009 11:46 PM

Hey, AntiTbaggers, anybody still awake in here?

Posted by: bjritz at April 13, 2009 11:46 PM

and it would be nice to have a man to do all the stuff I don't wanna do lol and for that person not to charge me for doing it, nut somehow no one volunteers for that

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 11:48 PM

hey bj

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 11:51 PM

I'll volunteer Vera. All that I'll need is a helicopter or plane ride to wherever it is that you live each week. Got that covered?

Posted by: J M Ashby at April 13, 2009 11:52 PM

JM -

We signed a treaty that says we will turn over anyone indicted for war crimes to the nation doing the indicting.

Obama would have to violate a treaty.

Ponder that.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 13, 2009 11:54 PM

Wasn't he adorable?

yes git and human...how could you not want to sit down and have a beer with him and just talk.

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 11:55 PM

That may be true, but if its actually enforced... I'll eat my hat.

Posted by: J M Ashby at April 13, 2009 11:55 PM

hey, sillygit (I think it was you I talked about this with), Something The Lord Made is on HBO.

is your house older than 60 years old?

Posted by: veralynn at April 13, 2009 11:59 PM

Hullo BJ Ritz! Also to my fav computer geek guy Silly Git, especially to Ady & Vera! Whew! I know I missed some people-- how about wet, sloppy kisses for those I missed? I have to admit, Matt, I have a little crush on you... Your blog picture is so handsome...Purrrrrr....

Posted by: Teh Minx at April 13, 2009 11:59 PM

he is a cutiepie huh minx?

Regarding the spanish court deal---if they step foot onto EU territory aren't the EU nations required to turn them over to Spanish authorities?

Posted by: veralynn at April 14, 2009 12:02 AM

David Letterman just did a totally hilarious impression of Bill O'Reilly. He killed me.

Posted by: Ady at April 14, 2009 12:02 AM

Also too.

If Spain takes care of these war criminals for us, it won't be the dems doing it so that the right wing can bitch and moan about it until hell freezes over.

IT'S THOSE FUCKING SPANIARDS THAT DID IT! WE DIDN'T WANT TO PROSECUTE, BUT THOSE DAMN SPANIARDS DID. IT WASN'T OUR FAULT, I RAN OUT OF GAS, THE HOUSE CAUGHT FIRE, IT WASN'T MY FAULT!

Seems like win/win to me.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 12:02 AM

I saw that Ady it was brilliant!!

Posted by: veralynn at April 14, 2009 12:04 AM

Vera - Where is "here?" No, more around 40 years. However my Uncle's house dates to 1898.

I just saw a shirt while browsing Devianart that was Bobby Jindal 2012 in the blue and red style. I think I threw up a little in my mouth.

Posted by: J M Ashby at April 14, 2009 12:06 AM

they wouldn't want to extradite them to the US git?
hey being the Spanish gov't. I was thinking that would make Obama and the US look very bad...like we can't handle our own mess, which of course we won't...there was an entry on Sullivan's that spoke to this very nicely

Posted by: veralynn at April 14, 2009 12:06 AM

Vera asked:

"if they step foot onto EU territory aren't the EU nations required to turn them over to Spanish authorities?"

Yes.

But by treaty we are required to turn them over as well.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 12:07 AM

Git - That is totally wishful thinking. You know the Wrong-wingers would go up in flames over Obama "handing them over" to the spaniards. And then they would probably try to blame Obama for the treaty even if it was signed by someone else.

Posted by: J M Ashby at April 14, 2009 12:09 AM

and so sorry about the Jindal thing....Palin and Sanford to do to me too

Everyone have a wonderful evening!

G'Night All... Watch out for those flying "Q's" and beware of squirrel occupation-- although now that the weather is warmqr, they shqld be staying out. The bad part about warm weather are the freaking children who are now screaming & whining outside--Close the windows & crank the a/c!!! Not fond of most children, not at all.
Kisses from the Minx!

Posted by: Teh Minx at April 14, 2009 12:15 AM

Git, loved the Limbaugh article, but I really loved that Gold Bond Medicated Powder was mentioned in it.

Posted by: Ady at April 14, 2009 12:17 AM

If Holder and Obama pursue war crimes investigations we will never hear the end of it from the reich wing. The impeached Clinton for getting blowjobs, but arresting Republican criminals will case a shitstorm the likes of which have never been seen since the civil war (it wasn't very civil).

I think the Spain thing is something Rahm, Bill, and Barack came up with to clear the war crimes issues without taking the responsibility and blame. Note the timing of this announcement. Wasn't he just over there? Looks like they waited a week to not be obvious.

Spain has standing to bring these charges because we kept five of their citizens locked up in Gitmo for several years while telling the Spanish Authorities to fuck off whenever they demanded to have them returned which was on a weekly basis. They are not happy with how the BushCo arrogant asshats handled this and they demand justice.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 12:19 AM

Well now that everyone is going to sleep I just saw this on huffpo - "There has been a lot of blog chatter trying to connect the dots with the interviews this weekend and comments Dr. Warren made on CNN Larry King Live, but his cancellations were related to health and fatigue." The aide elaborates that Rick Warren's "fatigue and exhaustion," forcing him to cancel several sermons in addition to his appearance on ABC News, were "exacerbated by inhalation of fumes from the newly refurbished (but still drying) pulpit used in the televised services the previous night."

So, when caught in lies the good pastor huffs pulpit and then cancels with OD exhaustion! Damn hard to be a bs artist and keep up appearances.

Posted by: bjritz at April 14, 2009 12:19 AM

Git - You're right, blowjobs are way more serious business than war crimes... for sure.. yep...

The best we can hope for is for them to travel someplace out of the country and then get extradicted from there to Spain.

Posted by: J M Ashby at April 14, 2009 12:23 AM

Saw that over the weekend at TPC.

He was laid low by pulpit inhalation. [snicker]

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 12:26 AM

So Rick Warren admitted to sniffing glue?

My suspicions have been proven correct atlast!

Posted by: J M Ashby at April 14, 2009 12:27 AM

JM -

We won't violate that treaty. Mark my words. We can't. BTW, the current version of that treaty was signed by W and ratified by a Republican majority Senate.

Obama obeys the law.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 12:29 AM

Well, W may be out of the country soon without having to leave Texas.

Posted by: bjritz at April 14, 2009 12:29 AM

Senator McCain was just on Leno. Leno asked him who the Republican leadership was and he didn't mention Steele at all. Leno had to bring him up.

Is it me or do party chairmen get that job to wash up on the beach?

Posted by: bjritz at April 14, 2009 12:34 AM

This is the six:

The six defendants—in addition to Gonzales, Federal Appeals Court Judge and former Assistant Attorney General Jay Bybee, University of California law professor and former Deputy Assistant Attorney General John Yoo, former Defense Department general counsel and current Chevron lawyer William J. Haynes II, Vice President Cheney’s former chief of staff David Addington, and former Undersecretary of Defense Douglas J. Feith—are accused of having given the green light to the torture and mistreatment of prisoners held in U.S. detention in “the war on terror.”

No Rove, Cheney, or Bush. Cheney was talked about at one point.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 12:36 AM

Bj...pulpit huffing? Oh, that's hilarious. I wonder if it's anything like toad licking?

Posted by: Ady at April 14, 2009 12:41 AM

I think toad licking is safer.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 12:47 AM

Really, Git? I've never literally licked a toad. Why's that safer? What about warts?

Posted by: Ady at April 14, 2009 12:51 AM

Washing up on beach does seem to be what happens to RNC chairmen.

It's almost true for Dem chairs as well.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 12:52 AM

There are toads that have halucinogenic chemicals emitted by their skin. These chemicals may hard on your liver, but you don't get much dose.

The fumes Warren was breathing are not only toxic to his liver, but also his brain. Glue sniffers are getting a buzz by anihilating vast numbers of neurons in their brains. This is not good.

Toads, halucinogenic or otherwise, do not cause warts. Viruses cause warts.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 1:01 AM

Ady, its important in church assessment that whatever is in the center of the front is very important. You know, if the choir is front and center that's important. If the Lucite pulpit is in the middle the preacher is import and his suit.

But if you have a recently refurbished yet fumy pulpit in the center of your church you either step away or get high. He chose the high-way. Holy Huffer.

Posted by: bjritz at April 14, 2009 1:01 AM

That was good bjritz.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 1:10 AM

@bj...LMAO! You're hysterical.

Git, you're assuming that Warren has a brain. I was joking about the toads. I've kissed plenty, but never licked any.

Posted by: Ady at April 14, 2009 1:17 AM

Well, Git, I've got to fade off to bed. Have a great night and look forward to more snark blasting the tbaggy trolls who step into the tarpit of Cescaland tomorrow.

Posted by: bjritz at April 14, 2009 1:17 AM

Good night to you also Ady. Like your new pic on teh FB. I bid you fair dreams of cream puffs and frangelico on a balcony overlooking the Seine.

Posted by: bjritz at April 14, 2009 1:22 AM

Good night, bjritz. And thank you very much...

Also, I love cream puffs. My heritage demands that I do. Now I want something sweet.

Posted by: Ady at April 14, 2009 1:26 AM

There are, in fact, toad lickers. The kind of toad with the halucinogenic properties is common in Utah. I don't know how to tell which ones to lick. Many frogs have this property also There was a story and a video on youtube a couple of years ago about a family dog that got addicted to licking the frogs from a duck pond the family had in the back yard. It was a funny video. You might find it by search for "toad licking dog" or "frog licking dog". They couldn't get the dog to stop licking the frogs. They tried to keep him inside and he whined until they let him out. The dog had a hard core frog licking addiction. I wouldn't have believed the story if they hadn't provided the video. The story was incredible.

Posted by: Silly Ratfaced Git at April 14, 2009 1:35 AM

Oh, Git, you always manage to make me laugh.

I wouldn't know which toads or frogs to lick either. I imagine I'd get exhausted trying to catch them, and just give up. I already have...such is life, I guess.

But a dog? I'll have to look for that vid.

Posted by: Ady at April 14, 2009 1:42 AM

It's not a video. It's an NPR audio story with still pictures:

The Dog Who Loved to Lick Toads
