Let The Race-Baiting Begin!

Douchey Romulan Charles Krauthammer lets fly:

Charles Krauthammer is already snarling on Fox News, warning viewers of the possible danger that -- as he put it -- Sotomayor's "concern for certain ethnicities override justice."

Douchey mental patient Glenn Beck follows him through the door, explaining how and why Judge Sotomayor was nominated:

"They're just like, 'Hey, Hispanic chick lady! You're empathetic. You're in!'"

Get it? Affirmative action! President Obama hates white people!

(Incidentally, Beck sounds drunk in the above linked Media Matters clip. Or, wait, is that one of his hilarious stand-up comedy voices?)

I wonder if they even realize how dickish and offensive they sound when they start spouting this stuff off.

Let them talk some more I say, they just further marginalize the repubs.

So--let's get this straight.

Teabaggers? Not racist, at all.

Hispanic justices? Racist, of course.

Goddamn.

Disgusting. Sexist. Asshats.

Anyone ever use to do impressions for your parents when you were like 8? Ever think Glen Beck is stuck at that level of emotional and intellectual development? His facial expressions always remind me of a kid who's learning to imitate the expressions of those around him, but can't quite make it work yet. Like Harriet telling jokes in Studio 60...

(A Studio 60 reference? Wow, I'm cool.)

ENDANGERED WHITE MALE holds forth!

ps. Bob

I'd say 'Operation Ruprecht Watch' is full on.

Beck is either drunk or having a stroke. Good catch!

Back on thursday last week when I went to the movies to catch the new terminator, there actually was a commerical before the movie for Glenn Beck standup comedy show tickets.

The commerical showed him crying and then said it was his preparation for the ridiculousness of his standup.

Coming soon from a moonbat near you "We don't want our Supreme Court decisions written in Spanish."

I saw that same ad, JM, twice....TWICE. A more WTF moment I could not imagine. More than a few in the theater groaned.........

So the man (and I use that term loosely) who was bitchslapped on The View and admitted he's a commentator and doesn't do research foams about a report on Sotomayor, specifically "Chapter One, Title 28, Part 453. Who's reading that?!"

Certainly not you, Beck.

Then he says, "I will do some research on it."

I won't hold my breath.

I believe they do know. But it's part of what keeps their loyal audience rabidly glued to their every word. All that matters for them is their ratings and getting very well paid.

Posted by: brutlyhonest at May 26, 2009 3:54 PM

Mike Huckabee referred to her as Maria Sotomayor. Which means a) he's a racist asshat who believes all Hispanic women are named Maria or b) he's a hack asshat who didn't care enough about who Obama picked to learn the name, as long as he could rail against him/her

Posted by: J at May 26, 2009 4:51 PM

So do you think she'll be Borked?

Posted by: ɹədoodʎʇɹɐdlɐɔıʇılod at May 26, 2009 5:00 PM

This could have been the response for anyone nominated by Obama for SCOTUS (including Jesus, God and the ghost of Reagan):

XXXXX is/will be a liberal left-wing activist judge.

XXXXX is described as unintellectual

XXXXX will undermine the very fabric of our society.

If Michael Steele had been nominated, the head of the RNC (Michael Steele) probably would have responded, "We'll reserve judgement (until I find out what Rush thinks)."

Beck totally sounds drunk!

Posted by: Rick Roberts at May 26, 2009 6:03 PM

And babies...don't forget that President Obama hates babies and kills them according to the protesters who were at Notre Dame a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if this means that, above all others, Obama hates white babies the most.

Do the Republicans really want to go down the racist, sexist road? If so, they are dumber than I thought.

Posted by: Ady at May 26, 2009 6:05 PM

The GOP wants people on the court who are "objective" and non activist, which I take to really mean they want anyone who will make decisions that favor and reinforce the straight, white, christian male worldview.

Posted by: ZIRGAR at May 26, 2009 6:06 PM

Of course they'll try to bork her. As tancredo said on Ed a little while ago, "It's only fair."

Another pearl from tancredo: Judge Sotomayer is a racist. I kid you not. His over-emoting was especially annoying. I didn't know anything about him, so I used teh googles and was shocked to find he hates the immigrants. Oh yeah, he supported the Vietnam war, but obtained a medical deferment because he was treated for depression while in college. Asshat.

1. As promised: gODDAMN!

2. Beck: drunk fundie.

3. Drunk fundies: Goddamned awful.

Goddamn
