On July 7, 2007, at approximately 7:15 p.m. at Jefferson and M Street, Northwest, in Washington, D.C., defendant was walking down the street making offensive remarks when he encountered the complainant, Ms. [REDACTED], who is African-American. The defendant uttered, "Nigger," as he delivered a karate chop to Ms. [REDACTED]'s head.
Josh Marshall is reporting that the assailant, Marcus Epstein, works for both Tom Tancredo and Pat Buchanan, even though he pled guilty to the assault.

Reading from the Colorado Independent, I was struck by how defensive Tancredo, etc, were about this shmuck. "He was a young man then, it's been two years, why is everyone so concerned??"

Matt, who didn't karate chop someone while uttering racial epithets when they were young? I'm just picturing little Tommy Tancredo, beating the crap out of Julio down by the schoolyard, screaming 'wetback' at the top of his lungs. Ahhh what a guy. SOOO glad he was my congressman.

This is OT, but a fun game. I call it, "Guess Alan's Party Affiliation".
Meet Alan David Berlin. Alan is a legislative aide for a Pennsylvania state senator. Alan is also a music director for his church and a member of the American Guild of Organists.
He's also just been arrested for solicited sex for a teenage boy online. Alan is also a member of the "furries" scene where he posted the following on a website: "I'm a Daddyfur and Caretaker and I am looking for a babyfur to be my mate and companion in a long-term committed relationship,".
So, what do you think Alan's party affiliation is?

A fun little game, but too easy. The rule of thumb is that despite their (wide) stance, R's usually have a homosexual, sometimes pedofiliac (?) sex scandal, while D's usually have the ho-hum hetero-cheatin'-on-your-wife-sexual scandal.
