Joe Scoldborough
You know what Joe Scarborough is really good at? Sitting back in his chair and passive-aggressively scolding his guests in a condescending, quiet voice.
Joe asked Ed Schultz if Ed thinks Dick Cheney wants another terrorist attack to happen in order to vindicate himself. Naturally, Ed said that he believes Cheney privately hopes for another attack.
Joe then proceeded for a good three or four minutes to lean back in his chair, stare at the desk and scold over and over, "I must say I'm stunned. I could never imagine thinking that a Democrat or a liberal ... I can't imagine that I would ever voice that opinion. ... I can't imagine thinking that of any political figure."
Then why did you ask, Joe? Ed already said a similar thing on his show. It's no secret. So we can only assume you asked the question in order to ambush and scold/shame Ed on your show where you have your panel of sycophants to back you up (and they did).
By the way, three cheers for Ed for having a pair.

Whew, finally got logged in. Yeah, I agree Joe likes to be the self righteous bastard. During that segment I emailed them to let them know that Ed is not alone. I won't go as far as to say that the Dick wants people to die, but I'm sure a little dirty bomb would make his heart sing.

Dick Cheney has been implicated in the following matters: [And note that every new document released or demanded by a court lends greater credence to the implication, and commonly suggest that he went further, and did more and worse than had previously been imagined]:
1. Ignoring, among others, Richard Clarke, who presented the incoming Bush administration with specific warnings about Al Qaeda.
2. Designating prisoners of war "enemy combatants" in order to hold them offshore and suspend all legal rights, including habeous corpus.
3. Directing the CIA to cherry pick intelligence and create false intelligence in order to support the argument that there were WMDs in Iraq
4. Torturing, in violation of the law, to acquire false evidence in support for an illegal war
5. Directing the preparation of fraudulent legal memos designed to provide cover for expanding and continuing a program of torture.
6. Setting his office outside the executive branch of government, in direct violation of tradition and fundamental constitutional principles, in order to avoid proper record keeping for historical review of his actions...
...and Joe Scarborough can't imagine why a fucking WAR CRIMINAL might actually place his own legacy and possible future freedom from prosecution over an illusory "attack" that would not affect him directly except to give him reason to crow about being PROVEN RIGHT and to demonstrate that everything he did was smart, proper, necessary...
No. Dick Cheney loves America too much to ever be at all self-interested. You can tell by the way Haliburton never profited from their relationship with the VP all those years. Clearly this is a man of high principle.
I'd LOVE to feed Joe Scar a bucket of sodium pentathol and waterboard his yammering trap for a few hours. I'd find out EXACTLY what Joe wants for America. I bet Cheney has NOTHING on that pissant, twisted, repressed, torture whore chickenhawk.

I thought the exact same thing. He's a complete asshole. I noticed that he used his quiet voice because if you saw Ed's show last week, he's quite a screamer himself. He wasn't taking any of Scarborough's bullshit. What stunned me was the irony. Apparently Scarborough thinks it's OK for Cheney to say that Obama's not keeping use safe but, when it comes to Ed or anyone voicing their opinion about Cheney hoping for another attack, they're way off base? I can not stand this hypocrite! I also found myself agreeing with the Star Search Spokesmodel this morning when she stated that if Cheney has something to share with the Whitehouse, he should go and do so in person and not on tv. Joe's ascertion of Cheney's response that "they, the Whitehouse knows where he is" shows there lack of respect for the President. Why the hell should the Obama administration reach out to Cheney? He clearly can't read or understand intelligence reports. If he could, maybe we wouldn't have been attacked. Cheney is a private citizen and as Ed stated, he's got old intel and is not in on current CIA briefings. Then doucheborough brought it home with one of favorite bullshit claims. "You don't think that the CIA is in contact with Cheney leaking intel"? I wished that Ed had shot back - Do you have actual proof of this or is it just speculation on your part to prop up Cheney? Particularly since the CIA gets upset every time Cheney opens his mouth.

Apparently Cheney loved his country enough to get 5 deferrals! I wish that the Dems and particularly Ed, Keith and Rachel would start framing Cheney's argument as hat of a scared, firghtened little girl. They should placate him with phrases like, we know you're afraid but we're doing everything we can to keep you and all Americans. That while he's never been in the military, he should know that our troops are working hard and he can come out from under the bed!

Cheney is ruthless and all about power. He's openly contemptuous of anyone that disagrees with his view of the world. Hell, he couldn't muster enough respect for the presidency to stand for two fucking minutes while Obama was sworn in. He plainly said in the 2004 elections that if the Democrats win we will be hit by the terrorists again. Not maybe be hit again, not we have different ideas about how to protect America, if you exercise your right to vote and elect a Democrat as president you will be risking the lives of Americans.
There is no doubt in my mind that if there is another attack on the United States, or even one foiled before it can be executed, Dick Cheney and his demon spawn will take to the airwaves and let forth with a self-righteous "I told you so."
And Joe Scarborough will join the chorus without a moment's hesitation.

What Ed should have told Joe is that his claims of CIA leaks to Cheney would be next to impossible since we're still illegally wire tapping private citizens and does Joe really think that the Whitehouse would get reports from the CIA Agents about who if anyone is talking to Cheney.

Cheney *is* a scared frightened little girl.
He knows that he used the Constitution as toilet paper for eight years while handing out bid free contracts to his cronies in order to rob the treasury.
He is concerned that someone knows just how much he deserves to be locked up or shot for treason.
Yes Dick. Many of us know. It's not clear that anything will be done to bring you and Rumsfeld to the justice you deserve.
Please keep talking. You make it harder and harder to ignore your transgressions.

From what I have observed, I would say that Ed knows Joe is really just a repressed sissy girly man on the inside and hes not afraid to tell Joe what he thinks.
