Yeah, Okay.

Ted Rall is losing his shpadoinkle:

Obama is useless. Worse than that, he's dangerous. Which is why, if he has any patriotism left after the thousands of meetings he has sat through with corporate contributors, blood-sucking lobbyists and corrupt politicians, he ought to step down now--before he drags us further into the abyss.

In case you're not familiar with Ted, and you're saying, "Yeah... so," Ted's a liberal political cartoonist and writer. And his evidence for asking the president to resign? Armenia and preventive detentions. And the useless, promise-breaking thing.

Yeah, the president is such a lying slacker.

All that crap about how he expanded healthcare coverage for children, passed equal pay for women, lifted restrictions on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research, passed the biggest middle class tax cut in history, set a timetable for ending the Iraq occupation, ordered the closing of Guantanamo, signed the credit card reform bill, established historic emissions standards, began the process of repairing our reputation abroad, passed the biggest economic stimulus bill in American history, banned all forms of torture and nominated the first Hispanic woman to the Supreme Court?

Useless! Dangerous!

Ted can't have thought this through. If Obama The Terrible (ahem) steps down, we get President Biden. The loss of White House IQ alone would be devastating, much less the loss of wisdom, popular support and just plain coolness.

Ted needs to get laid. Or drunk. Or both.

Wow. That was really crazypants. I'm all for criticizing the president--any president--but wow. Also, do you think Ted was seeking the crazy conservatives agrement in his comments, or is that a side-effect he didn't anticipate when writing this really poorly thought out piece? I have never read him before (or heard of him, frankly) so maybe this is his usual MO.

It's got to be the illegal narcotics.

Damn it, it's just got to be.

Ted mentions failed promises such as healthcare. I can't really find fault with Ted's reasoning in this piece.

Obama as dangerous? Kind of a stretch. Obama should quit? Another stretch. Corrupt politicians and corporate lobbyists? Spot on and that alone should give us pause for electing someone who promised to bring change to DC.

All of Obama's successes thus far are heavily weighted down by his support for TARP and, like Bush before him, choosing foxes to guard the hen house. I always though the Bail Out, when it was first proposed, as nothing more than a big "Fuck you and fuck off Obama" because we all knew where the money was going to come from and to whom it was going to. They looted We the People, clean, plain and simple.

So anything Obama does is pretty much re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. That's just me. People know this to be the case and they're extremely pissed off. Pay no mind to those stupid polls that show Obama is extremely popular because they don't ask the fundamental questions.

Ted Rall has lost more than his shpadoinkle. His mind is MIA and he took his credibility, tied to an h-bomb and then detonated the h-bomb. Credibility vaporized. Painful to watch.

He's always been a bit off imho. This kind of cements it for me. Also what's with this bar thing appearing over the webpage?

Ted Rall - Inventing things to complain about just so he can hear himself complain.

Ted Rall has always been a bit loony, and really can't be taken too seriously. Recall he was the one who attacked Pat Tillman as basically a useful idiot for the Bush Administration after he was killed in Afghanistan. Of course we found out later that Tillman was not only killed from "friendly fire", but that he was more than outspoken on the battlefield in opposition of Bush and of the war in general.

Of course, unlike the right wing, our loons don't occupy the mainstream of our party. Again, few people on our side take this guy very seriously, so this is much ado about nuthin'.

Bob, I've followed Ted Rall's cartoons on line every morning for the last couple years... and he's been losing his shpadoinkle for some time now.

That seems to be the ever so clumsy "Believe me and not your lying eyes" argument. I mean, you don't get any more fundamental than "Do you think the President is doing a good job?" SMH. We always get at least one incoherent knob in the comment section.

Ted's cheese slipped on his cracker years ago.

OK here is his whole comment piece. He is mostly talking about Obama's embracing of "preventive detentions" which should have everyone feeling more than a little nervous.
We should all be outraged that Obama is endorsing this unconstitutional trampling of our rights. Is Ted over the top? Read the whole article, and you may not think so.

Yeah, Ted isn't over the top - just a douchebag. What do these geniuses think we should do with those detainees? Yep, that's right - *crickets*
