Americans Love Public Health Insurance

I heard Mike Pence and Paul Ryan on MSNBC today both suggesting that Americans don't want government run health insurance.

Wrong. Of course there's the overwhelming popular support for the public option, but in terms of current government health insurance programs, Americans seem to like it much more than private insurance.

Sorry, wingnuts and blue dogs.

My favorite part is that they love to quote the polls and say that support is falling. What the MSM hates to point out is that support is falling in direct response to the health reform plans seeming to have less and less of a public option. People are unhappy b/c government isn't going far ENOUGH, not b/c gov't is involved.

J above is right, public support is wavering because people are worried about the Public Option- they need to have a poll on Just the Public Option...

So today President Obama gave two town halls- NEITHER was shown on MSNBC or CNN ( cough or fox)....but I did flick to CSPAN and it was on in the upper right hand corner- so I watched as best I could and then while it was getting good- he was talking about THE Public Option the camera cut away to some piddly House Vote....CNBC spent most of the day saying that the New Plan was "bad" for Already Insured Americans- thanks CNBC...

and now Sebelius is talking "CO-OP "???? What the hell is going on...and she says it will take a few monthes to sort this ( wow- that was a whimpy pathetic statement on MSNBC...shame on her...I thought she was stronger than that..)

Conservatism means never having to bother with facts.

C'mon, even "Kill (health) Bill" Kristol admits that the government-run health care is superior -- nah, the best possible option.

How perverse is that?
