I Hate Max Baucus

Hamsher reports:

According to sources familiar with negotiations on the Senate Finance committee, there is a "bipartisan" deal in the works between Baucus, Enzi and Snowe that will not include a public plan, which could pass in the next couple days.

This is possibly just political cover to pacify Baucus's mafia bosses in the healthcare lobby. Baucus and his fellow bipartisanship porn fetishists can pass whatever hunk of bullshit they want in the Finance Committee, but the final healthcare reform bill has to have a robust public option or it won't pass the House. That's a fact.

Adding... "Bipartisanship porn" is a variation of "food porn," "torture porn" and, of course, "porn porn." Also, I think I'm the first person to coin the term.

I'm not too crazy about his wife either.

Is that the same as bipartisanship pron?

Yeah it may be cover, and waiting for the fucking thing to come out of committee is also a delaying tactic. All of them are just working so hard, and are so committed to putting out a bill that is just right, and everyone wants to make sure-

GET THE FUCKING THING DONE ALREADY.

I'm tired of stroking the Senate's egos/cocks every effing five minutes just to keep them all happy and on a emotionally even keel. They need to get to work getting this thing done so the House and Senate can come together and get something to the president's desk.

and again--where the F is our media? If they covered his ties to the insurance industry, and pressed the "lobbying" issue the way they pressed for Clinton's impeachment over a BJ, I guarantee, we'd get a good healthcare plan.

--or maybe if they took 10% of tne enrgy they put into cheerleading the Iraq war, we'd get a good plan. What they have chosen to do is allow the right wing to kick up dust in the echo chamber.

I hate this bastard too! I hope that once their bill comes out, the real Dems will strip out their bullshit along with the 165 Republican bullshit amendments. Now, if they don't want to vote for it, we can get in done through reconciliation. I'm hoping that Obama and Rahm turn the tables on these asswholes with their new found wealth from the insurance industry. Just tell the American people that these people were purchased by the insurance industry and we couldn't allow them to fuck up healthcare! That would put these duplicitous asswipes back in their places. And to the asswholes who keep voting for these turds, do us all a favor and FUCK OFF! Why don't you folks wait until election day and take your stupid asses on vacation! Just stay the fuck away from voting. You don't know what the fuck you're doing!

I think they should leave in any Republican amendments that aren't particularly hard to swallow. Let that be a campaign tool. We let them participate, we make concessions, they vote no, WTF? I mean, we know they would vote no even if most of the amendments said something like "Jesus is Lord" and "God (not Thor) made the world in six days". Let's use it against them in the next campaign cycle just like they did for almost eight years, what with introducing resolutions saying Limbaugh is a swell guy and America's Great and other bullshit designed to force Dems to vote Yea or be called unAmerican.

Boy, did I stir up a hornets nest with my conservative friends. And by the way, can Max Baucas really take two in his mouth at once?

"...there is a "bipartisan" deal in the works between Baucus, Enzi and Snowe that will not include a public plan." I don't believe that statement at all.

I live in Maine and Olympia Snowe has stated repeatedly & publicly that she WILL vote for the public option. Now, either Snowe's been lying to her constituency - which has NEVER been her MO - or Hamsher's sources are unreliable.

I prefer to think it's the latter, and that you've hit the nail on the head when you stated: "...it's possibly just political cover to pacify Baucus's mafia bosses in the healthcare lobby."
