Baucus, in his remarks, said that he was voting 'no' because there aren't enough votes to pass the public option on the floor. Which, of course, isn't true.
UPDATE: Ben Bill Nelson just said that he intends to vote for the Schumer public option amendment. And based on Schumer's remarks, Carper might also be a 'yes'.
UPDATE 2: The Schumer amendment failed. 10-13. That's it for the public option in the Finance Committee. Pathetic. Baucus, Lincoln and Conrad all voted 'no'.
