Maria says anybody can sign up for Medicare, even if you're under 65? This is awesome! I'm signing up today! Thank you, Maria Bartiromo! No need for health care reform now; Maria just saved America by pointing this out!

YAY!

Ladies and gentlemen, Teh Stupid™!

Really, after reading the link it's clear that Maria never got out of grade school. I wonder if she stomped her foot and went off to spread rumors about Weiner.

Maria Boughtandpaidfor.

What a dumbass. Wonder how Weiner answered her. He probably fell off his chair wondering why this woman should ever be allowed to open her mouth, especially on TV.

This is the same moron who said we have the best healthcare in the world. Weiner answered her that time by saying we're # 37. Below Cuba I believe.
Someone needs to take a cane and yank her off the stage.

Jan: He tried to explain that he was only 44 years old, and Maria laughed it off as if that was his "excuse". I THOUGHT she was stupid when I saw her on Morning Joke. Now, I KNOW she's stupid.

I think she was expressing disbelief that he would sign up for medicare if it were available to him, not that she thought he was eligible.

Not as stupid as not understanding that Weiner doesn't qualify, but telling nonetheless:

Medicare is for poor, sick, losers (according to the mindset of the established wealthy) -- which is why she scoffed at him for admiring the system.

Doesn't matter if you can get around just fine and comfy and safe in an Accord -- one simply does not get caught dead in a Honda. How gauche! Classic status seeking mindset: if it's good enough for THEM, it's not good enough for me.

To which I say, fine. Don't sign up at any point. Buy brand-name, or even designer insurance, if that's what floats your boat.

If you love Medicare so much, why don't you marry it?

Posted by: camel54 [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 1, 2009 2:56 PM

Saysyes, you hit it right on the nose. I heard a man at a town hall saying that America's health care system was a "Mercedes with a bad transmission, and Obama wants to put us all in a Yugo but I want to fix the Mercedes." Bob and I are both in the market for a health care Yugo; we don't mind him having a Mercedes, but we'd like, you know, something.

This underscores one of the fundamental problems with Teh Media™ today.

The network news people who are supposed to be informing us have their own agenda, or are uninformed, or are Teh Stupid™, Teh Crazy™, or all of the above.

Weiner on Fox yesterday morning. How tired he must be of having to match wits with these idiots every day.

Uh, I just like looking at her and stuff.
