No Equivalence

When the cable news people talk about how the wingnuts are behaving basically the same as the left did during the Bush years, it's an absurdly false equivalence on its face.

And looking at extreme opposition, there's evidence that right wing extremism has far exceeded anything seen on the far left during the Bush years. Specifically, threats against President Obama are "up 400 percent from those against his White House predecessor." Does this indicate that there was a similar level of anti-Bush anger as there is against Obama?

Only an idiot would pop off about Bush and/or Cheney the way these yahoos do now. I think that explains itself nicely.

This whole false equivalency meme is really tiresome. Scarborough is constantly spewing this bullshit. It's so weak! What it says about this line of defense is that they feel the need to do it.

By trying to draw comparisions with the left, they're admitting that their side is cluttered with wingnuts who are getting all of the attention for all the wrong reasons.

They are as alarmed by their wingnuts who have taken over their party as we are. It's both pathetic and telling.

The BBQ Media especially engages in this bullshit in an attempt to deflect criticism from Republicans and FOX News that they are liberally biased. They are spooked into entertaining us with such visionaries as Michelle Malkin, Tom Delay, Rush Limbaugh, and a whole host of losers. It is so transparent and pathetic to see the Not FOX Newsers repeatedly placate the Right with this behavior even as the criticism comes from a network that has no problem picking a side and running with it.

I'm so glad to see the White House start to call them out, to say "Hey, these guys are not a news organization. Why are you treating them like colleagues David Gregory/George Stephanopolous?"

It's amazing the level of projection these people engadge in, any and everything they themselves are guilty as sin of they accuse liberals of. These people are not only transparent, they are pathetic, you almost feel sorry for their obvious ignorance until you remember what they have been saying and doing.

I am willing to let anyone have their say and to give some thought to any valid arguments, but these people do not have valid arguments. Everything they are angry about shows that they are not to be taken seriously, they are to be ridiculed and then ignored.
