As Benen describes, the wingnuts were temporarily thrilled by the White House guest list that was released yesterday, mainly because names like William Ayers and Jeremiah Wright popped up on the list.
Of course these were "false positives" -- after all, there are a lot of people who have those names. And anyone can submit requests to visit the White House, so I'm surprised the usual "Hitler" and "Mickey Mouse" names didn't pop up.
In September, requests were submitted for the names of some famous or controversial figures (for example Michael Jordan, William Ayers, Michael Moore, Jeremiah Wright, Robert Kelly ("R. Kelly"), and Malik Shabazz). The well-known individuals with those names never actually came to the White House.
I also noticed George Soros on the list. Speaking of whom, where's my goddamn check?!
Adding... To my knowledge, no other White House has voluntarily released its visitor logs as a matter of routine. Transparency we can believe in.
