Creepy Robot of the Day
The Einstein robot.
The walking shots are what Einstein would look like sneaking up behind old people to eat their medicine for fuel.
And here's an excellent article (WARNING: creepy photo) about recent studies into the phenomenon of The Uncanny Valley -- how and why humanoid robots and CG movie characters creep us out. I actually think they should rename it The Creepy Zemeckis. After Beowulf and Polar Express, he still had the balls to make A Christmas Carol with all of its creepy simulated Dickensian humanoids. I don't understand who gave him the money to do this again.

Given that it "stars" Jim Carrey, it would have been creepy with live acting.

Am I the only one who thinks the bald Einstein-bot at the beginning of the video looks entirely too much like G. Gordon Liddy? (No freakin' wonder the robot's creepy!)

This project needs more Einstein.
Bob Einstein.

After reading the article I now know why I feel creeped out by Dick Cheney.

Do you know Super Dave was a local TV act in the 70s? He hasn't changed a bloody thing about his act. It's still all like that.
