Doof Quote of the Day

"There seems to be a communication breakdown between the two and while some say it's a one-way McCain problem, has Obama reached out enuff?" —Chuck Todd blaming Senator McCain's climate flipflop on President Obama

You're probably familiar with the campaign to get country-of-origin labels on food? Likewise, I think reporters should have to provide the names of every villager they're parroting. So this one is probably Chuck Todd parroting Joe Scarborough parroting David Gregory parroting [etc, etc, etc] parroting Mark Halperin parroting Drudge who blames everything on President Obama.

Todd = Tool.

I hit the mute button when I see his smarmy face. He's another stroker...got where he is by displaying his incompetent toadying.

Did he actually write "enuff"?

Oh man.

Chuck Todd is an incompetent hack. This from the same doof who kept telling us the public option was dead! This president has reached out more than any of us would like and has gotten spit at in return. Why don't they do a story on how many times the Republicans reached out to Dems when they were in power? It would take all of 10 seconds.

By the way, this is off topic but, I suggest you all go over to firedoglake.com and read the article about the Palin fans who booed her last night after she left 300 of them holding unsigned books. One guy actually said that they were all going to return the book today! Actually, there's a video with the article that I'm about to check out right now!

That video was great! How quickly they turn. I've added the link below:

You're over-thinking it. Forget the Village game of Telephone, it's simpler than that.

If Chuck Todd called John McCain on his flip-flop, the Senator might not go on Meet the Press every two weeks. Full stop.

NBC would be really unhappy, the MtP bookers would actually have to do their job, and Chuck Todd might be reassigned to a less cushy beat. Simple.

He should have stuck with his polling job. Did you see his interview with the president? He seemed nervous and unable to ask a simple question. He's out of his league!

Chuck Todd???? Does anyone take this fellah seriously?
Another negative ,cynical, superficial rightwinger who delights in painting gloom ,doom and asking inane questions.
Poor Chuckie..as said, way, way out of his league!

The sad part is, his initial foray into on camera stuff wasn't so bad, but his ego has definitely gotten the better of him since the primary days when he played with the Magic Finger Telestrator Thingy™.

He immediately got on the fast track to douchebaggery and has never looked back.

McCain's climate bill was a joke. He has never wanted to do anything about global warming. Never.

Bob, just consider a scenario: suppose the public option passes, and then so does cap & trade. At what point does the Village look too foolish to continue? Or is the Beltway media going to descend into utter self-parody by 2012?

I'm trying to figure out why anyone has given any credence to the original premise from Chuck:

"There seems to be a communication breakdown between the two..."

Why in Jeebus' name would Obama want to waste any of his time "communicating" with John McCain?

When Todd just reported the numbers he was fine.

Now he is useless.

Todd has the same affliction as Tweety. When dealing with the empirical (elections, polling data) they both excel. When you toss them into the deep policy end? Way out of their depth.
