'Kill the Bill'

That was the teabagger chant at today's rally against healthcare reform.

And there was seriously a sign featuring a drawing of Speaker Pelosi with the slogan: "Un-American McCarthyite."

Yeah. From the people who are accusing everyone in the White House and Democratic Party of being communists.

Riiiiiight.

Maybe they're suggesting that Pelosi is a fan of Weekend at Bernie's co-star Andrew McCarthy. Or vaccine opponent Jenny McCarthy. Or gritty author of No Country for Old Men and Blood Meridian Cormac McCarthy. Ventriloquist dummy Charlie McCarthy?

I could do this all night.

I tell you, these people are delirious out of sheer boredom. Oxymoron or not, that's exactly what is happening with the modern-day right-wing. They blew their ideological wad while Bush was in power, so they've got nothing left to be excited about save pure nonsense. Even kindergartners would find this behavior beneath them, but not bored wingnuts. No, they leap at the chance to portray themselves as mental degenerates.

Their pathetic attempts to project their foibles and proclivities onto others is laughable.

In my profession you meet people like this all the time individually, but never en masse. Someone used to getting away with being mentally incompetent is leading these people around by a string. In other words, a self-righteous brat (of which the GOP is abundant) is leading the willfully ignorant or just plain dull.

One would think they could at least TRY to look those big words up on the intertubes.

There is one particular photo of one sign that is so vile and offensive that I am at a loss for words. Why would any human being want to use the images of dead holocaust victims piled on top of each other as a means of comparison in a health care debate. God help us all.

And there's this sign depicting a pile of corpses from the Holocaust, and saying that the Holocaust was the "National Socialist Health Care."

But Alan Grayson's "die quickly" comment was reprehensible, right, wingnuts?

Carl... it seems that you and I are on the same wave length here.

So, Boehner quoted from the Declaration though he SAID he was quoting from the Preamble of the US Constitution. sigh.

Posted by: ceu [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 5, 2009 8:30 PM

Adding... I haven't seen an actual quote but heard that Bachmann was trying to dismiss offensive signs at the rally such as the Holocaust image and countless Obama/Hitler images as ACLU and ACORN embedded counter-protesters trying to make the teabaggers look bad.

These freaks know no bounds.

It's amazing to me that the the alternate reality crowd gets a serious hearing in the media, but the millions who protested the Iraqi war were "fringe lunatics."

If the TRUTH continues to be represented by two sets of "facts" in our MSM, then our democracy is doomed.

Maybe Cormac McCarthy. My favorite lines from "No Country for Old Men" when the sheriff and his deputy come up on the carnage from the drug shoot out.
Deputy: Sure is a mess.
Sheriff: Well if it isn't, it'll do til one comes along.
