I am an avid fan of Seth MacFarlane and have been from the beginning. However, I have become slightly disturbed lately by the feeling that Mr MacFarlane's head is getting bit large.

If anyone watched that half hour special last Sunday with Seth and Alex Bortsteing, all you basically got was a half hour of commercials and Seth advertising. It just gnawed at me the wrong way. I just hope that Family Guy & Co. does not get TOO commercial and that they manage to keep the originality that made them so great from the beginning.

I'm a fan of Seth and enjoy his shows, especially the Family Guy. I'm not sure this latest wave of criticism regarding the similarities between his shows is all that insightful. The shows are smart, but, more importantly, they make me laugh.

I like Family Guy, but am not a fan of Cleveland Show or American Dad. I watched the 30 min "almost live" comedy show too and thought it was just advertising too. The concept of a live variety show of some known gags is really interesting but they didn't manage to quite pull it off. Ultimately, I didn't like it and I'm not sure why. I think Seth should stick to his regular shows too.
