Morning Joe

I haven't seen the ratings lately, but Morning Joe should be very popular. Popular among rich douchebag concern-trolling cowards.

For the last 30 minutes or so, I've been watching them talk about how everyone loves their healthcare, how taxing rich people is outrageous, and, with Rudy Giuliani joining the group, how we're all going to die if KSM is moved to New York for trial. Oh, and according to Joe Scarborough, "Barack Obama" ought to abandon his agenda because of one Quinnipiac poll.

Your liberal cable news network!

Adding... Oh Joe? Regarding how Americans feel about their healthcare coverage. Only 38 percent rate it as excellent or good, according to Gallup. That's up from 26 percent a year ago.

Every time I see those goof ball polls and get Scarborough's (or any other member of the "liberal" media) analysis, it makes me want to scream. When they talk about all of the folks who are polling no on the healthcare bill out of the House, why won't anybody mention that a huge portion of those no folks are single payer advocates and they aren't happy at all with the house bill and they want everybody to know it.

I really don't know why I watch that show every morning.

I turned on Morning Joe and had to turn it back off, almost immediately. It was disgustingly biased-to the Right. Bowing as usual, to
their corporate sponsors

"...how we're all going to die if KSM is moved to New York for trial."

As I was doing chores this morning it occurred to me that this resistance to trying KSM in federal court, a process that would be more public and 'visible' than a military tribunal, is partly due to how it would deflate the perceived threat of the terrorists.

I heard some soundbite on NPR, a critical one, as to how a public trial is just what KSM wants, it puts him on a stage to spew his ideology. I've got the feeling that, while he might do just that, the experience would be a cathartic one for the general population. The boogey-man would be out in the full light of the sun, and he won't be that paralyzingly scary.

I think the more astute members of the neo-con opposition know this at some level, and they don't want it to happen.

how stupid to be scared of holding a trial

who are these weenies who are afraid of their own shadow?

I'm guessing the 14 point jump is among teabaggers who all of a sudden have to pretend to love their health care.

sorry....I mean 12 point jump. A douchebag like Glenn Beck falls in this category.

Scarborough is a moron! And Rudy is a pussy! Fortunately, I woke up this morning just as the show was going off. They're going down to New Orleans tomorrow to do some sort of volunteer work or something. I think he's jealous of Keith Olbermann's health fairs.

Ah, yes, the "liberal" network. Yesterday there was a story on MSNBC's website all about how Sarah Palin is awesome and we should stop making fun of her.

Posted by: steve [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 19, 2009 11:42 AM

I also saw one the MSNBC women hosts claim the Newsweek cover is sexist.

Because it's out of "context". Okay, so that context line is mooseshit, but if context is the issue then WTF is the flag doing draped on a chair?

Had Obama or Hillary stood by a flag slopped over a chair the wingnut weenies would all be howling their heads off.

You're right Eve! They would have talked about how disrespectful it was to pose in front of the flag in exercise gear! IT'S AN OUTRAGE!

We should do what the anti-Dobbs people did. If they got Dobbs, a 30-year veteran, fired, surely we could get Morning Joe fired.

It's too bad Keith and Rachel can't/won't call out Joe on his right wing schtick and lack of facts.

As far as the KSM trial, it's kind of fun to call the R's scaredy cats because of how they're acting but IMO their so called fear has more to do with not letting President Obama have any success with anything he does or doesn't do.

Plus, I can't see any court or judge letting KSM spew anything, much less idealogy, which is pretty much what a guy Rachel interviewed last night said.

Heard yesterday his ratings have dropped quite a bit in the past few months. We can only hope the slide continues.

I agree, the KSM trial Rethug reaction is a knee-jerk "oppose Obama" answer. However, on a deeper level, I think they are truly afraid. They're afraid of the "rule of law" and potential outcomes. Haven't they repeatedly said, 'what if's he's found innocent!?'

Truth is, they and their teabagger secessionist followers openly advocate the violation of the "rule of law" all the time (e.g., see NewsMax story on coup of Obama, the birther conspiracy crap, Texas' talk of secession, Guitmo and torture is okay, etc). They want to violate the rule of law so they can stop the progressive change occurring in America. Conservatives, by nature, are anti-change, particularly change that doesn't fit in with their very narrow, non-fact based belief system. They only support the process of liberty and freedom in this country (aka, representative government, separated federal powers, partially independent states, rule of law, etc.) when it gives them the outcome they want....Liberals (and I wear the badge with pride) believe in the US system.....conservatives do not.

The irony is, conservatives don't see the cognitive dissonance of their own beliefs, particularly in this KSM trial, and their opposition to the rule of law.

OT....re: Fort Hood massacre

BOB, I haven't seen the following point mentioned ANYWHERE and it needs to be discussed.

The military was not being PC when they kept Hassan on as a soldier and an officer. They were being desparate. The amount of time, money and effort that goes into training any one single officer is astounding. Then to have a psychiatrist, particularly during an increase in the cases of PTSD and head injuries. Add to that the fact that he was Muslim, and he is even more valuable as an example to others in the services......such soldiers and officers are few and far between.

Finally, we're fighting a war on two fronts with our troops in long held bases in Okinawa, Germany, the Phillipines, etc. getting thin. Natl Guard troops are the mainstay and they're getting exhausted. The military needs bodies.
I don't think keeping Hassan had anything to do with PC. I think what the military doesn't want to admit is they're simply desperate for soldiers.

"I think what the military doesn't want to admit is they're simply desperate for soldiers."

And they probably are not going to unless it becomes unavoidable. I saw the point addressed the first or second day on Rachel or Keith by a guy that made a lot of the same points you made Irish.

Meantime the MSM and R's are having hissy fits about his being a Muslim Terrist(Bush's pronunciation).

TPC has a post about Hasan possibly being worried about having HIV. One can only wonder what the R's can do with that one.
