Thanks for doing what you do. I am truly grateful for your site, this community and my fellow Leftists.

More importantly, I am truly thankful to be in the US of A for this holiday season. However, with the additonal need of 34,000 troops to continue our expansion of the Empire(yes, empire like in Star War) I am a little less thankful for the decisions of our leader.

That being said, I love this president and find him truly insightful but on this matter he is JFK. Why is he doing this? Why is this important to the US? why must we conitue the failed policies of a former failed leader? why must more families have their lives ripped apart?

I know healthcare is important but their is less than one percent of this country screaming for help but too proud to ask. I am not too proud and want to call on the activist base of the progressive party to help us. please use you goddamn awesome netroot skills of influence to stop this madness.

I've pretty much deserted all of the "lefty" blogs because of reasons ranging from the hysteria about Obama deserting his base and lying to everybody while he bows his way throughout the world through Obama is a massive failure and won't help get healthcare through the Congress. Without this blog and the room provided for discussion, I would have given up paying attention long ago. It was getting too depressing.

I'm thankful that despite 8 years of attempting to totally subvert the Constitution - and being even more effective at it thanks to 9/11 than during raygun's tenure - that we can still express ourselves on sites like this.

I'm also thankful I made it to retirement so I can be home with my wife and dog for this and other holidays instead of in some place far away.
