WTF?
This is such a weird exchange.
O'Reilly doesn't know the phrase "the public option?" That'd be like saying, "Afghoober-whatever" instead of "Afghanistan." Did he have a stroke or is he just playing dumb?
And then Melty Brit Hume corrects him about the popularity of the public option.
These are the doofs who are informing two million Americans every day. It never ceases to scare me a little.

You're right. "Scary" is the word. And any second now, clonehead or strannaterri napkin will prove you right...

I was shocked that Hume corrected him on the popularity of the public option. While the Beltway wisdom said that the administration was unwise to go after fox, ignoring that they came after Obama before he took office, it could be that the affect is completely the opposite. Hume may have felt the microscope that the whitehouse has put them under. With Jon Stewart and now, SNL going after their clownishness, the joke is clearly on them.

A little?
A lot! Scares him a lot!
Petrifies him! Makes him quiver!!!
So terrified that he will defend Obama and the Dems no matter what!
"One Nation Under Fear" can be renamed "One Blogger Under Fear" ....of the return of GOP leadership, that is!
Shiver me Timbers!

It's been incredibly depressing to see how the comment boards have gone from a safe place of spirited debate among friends to Attack/Link Central.
Frankly, the ad hominem attacks both FROM and AGAINST StranaTerri et al. have devolved the discussion, and even I've caught myself getting mixed up in the fray. I was even going to post "Get a life, Terri" to her post above in defense of Bob, but clearly she just wants to instigate and inflame. Whether that's a direct result of all the mudslinging going on now or what is beyond me and frankly irrelevant.
Can we all be adults, willing to share opinions without shouting down, insulting, or linking to other bullshit? Let's just have reasoned discussion and debate that stands on it's own two feet, without needing support from other sites/people/twitter feeds.

You are 1000% right skywriter1.

Cheers, skywriter. I am immature as hell, I admit. I will try to refrain.
At least until the next time I'm buzzed and have pent-up frustration and someone gives me an opening.
No, really, I'll try! Sorry, sky, sorry, Bob.

You know how we've talked about false equivalence in the MSM? Well, it's been proven here lately that the left has loony ideologues too.

Courting ideologues is what brought you today's GOP.
And yes, it was a very weird exchange. When you constantly project lies out of your eyeballs like beems of light everyday at Fox News, im sure its hard to even remember your own name.

oreilly is plenty clueless and all sorts a' stupid, but not that kind of stupid.he knows exactly what he's doing here.
its a transparently desperate attempt at convincing his genius viewers that the pub option is so inconsequential that he cant even recall its proper name.
y'know youre really murdering the truth when brit "i graciously accepted an award from newsbusters" hume is correcting you.

Terri:

This is what makes me think you're acting like a crackpot, Terri. If there's one thing we can agree upon, it's that Fox News Channel is awful. Yet you use this thread to attack me, which leads me to believe that you're going to attack me no matter what I post. Hence, crackpot. And it illustrates my point about criticizing the president. It's bad strategy to flip our shit over every little thing because then leadership won't take us seriously anymore -- Oh there they go again! And suddenly we're the crackpot left that bitches about everything. Instead, we should set priorities and pick our battles.

Well said Bob! The constant complaining is mentally draining. Now, there's a bumper sticker!

Wow! And to think I actually accepted Terri's friend request on Facebook a few months back. I was trying to be nice, after all we're not "really" friends, it was just a way of passing information. But my inbox was crammed with Terri's FB posts getting her 20 emails a day about Mad as Hell Doctors and all and I thought, "Jebus, does this lady have a job?" And when I thought that maybe it was time to let it go she had written to thank me for reading her stuff. And I thought, eh, it's a couple of emails. What's the harm?
Her writing and attacks became more and more frequent and I would voice my opinion, as is the interactive nature of Facebook. Then came the eventual day I disagreed with her and when I responded I realized she prohibited my comments on her posts. That was it. Defriended in a matter of seconds. I don't know how that whole "no comments" thing works on FB, perhaps it was she who defriended me first but left me on some kind of group list? Whatever. I am blissfully Facebook free of Terri's rants and her criticisms of Bob on my BlackBerry.
Maybe she should fight the good fight and try Red State or Hot Air. But no, she'll stay here because she knows people will pay attention and Bob is too kind-hearted to block her. It's sad that Terri has devolved into nothing more than a troll, stopping by with the occasional insult while adding nothing to the discourse. Way to go, Crackpot.

I agree Sky...
however I need to say this...I would welcome Lee and terri's and any other POV if it was shared without the put downs, insults and numerous links to other's thoughts. On top of that, this is Bob's blog. He is entitled to his thoughts - NO MATTER what they are. You are of course entitled to disagree but to insult Bob and harass him for not supporting your cause is wrong. Do not come here and get upset every day if you do not like what he says on a consistent basis. There are many blogs where you can share your ideas/ beliefs and not harass those of us who agree with bob. And I do not say we agree with Bob or the president 100% but we appreciate their thoughtful ideas and I aprpeciate all the hard work Bob does to keep me informed. If you have so many ideas and thoughts and feel so passionate, please start your own blog where you can feel heard and share your thoughts with people who do agree with you.
Again, I have no issue with learning your POV but I am tired of the immature insults and name calling hurled at Bob and those of us here. We are entitled to our beliefs/ thoughts about our prseident even if it does not fall in line with yours. I am a progressive, I am in the (alternative) health care field, and I have written plenty of letters and emails and have even been involved locally where I live so please do not tell us what we are not doing and how dumb we are to support our president even if we do not agree 100%. And please be respectful of Bob. Let's not forget this is his site. He is intelligent and informed and he is allowed to believe what he wishes.
