The Life-Cycle of Climategate
Matt Osborne wrote an epic Huffington item about the evolution of the climategate story.
Definitely a must-read.

I had a professor of Environmental Physiology a few moons back and I asked him about all the "controversy" about evolution and the big push to teach creationism in elementary and high schools out in some of the backwoods. He just said he didn't pay much attention to it.
I was confused. These people were directly attacking what he studied and taught for living. He just couldn't understand those people so he didn't pay them any attention. What was the point in trying to teach someone who had no interest in learning? It would be like someone telling a mechanic that cars didn't have an engine or need fuel to run. The concept was so preposterous to him.
That's how I view what Matt Osborne has labeled nontrovery. The problem comes in when leadership can't simply say, "You're wrong," to the blatantly wrong.

Confession: I snorted when I read the names 'Wigley' and 'Wang'.
I'll go back to the kids' table now. Cheers, Matt!

Great piece. The only part missing was the "Palin Factor" since she has been calling on Obama to boycott the conference because of climategate and to look to real science and not that snake oil science in the email. Surely that woman's insanity deserves a special section all to itself. ;)

That's WON'T, not can't. And it doesn't help that the liberal media (snark) let's inhofe and others spout their crap as the alternate view without ever taking the side of truth.

Why does anyone still need to explain why something Fox News reports is wrong?
Everything they have every said is wrong. Demonstrably, incontrovertibly wrong.
If it's on Fox News, you know it's a lie. How? It's on Fox News.
