Just got back from seeing Avatar. What an outstanding movie. A true masterpiece of our generation. Visually stunning with a strong message that I hope will enlighten some of our fellow citizens who are desperately in need of enlightenment.
The only downside for me -- and it wasn't necessarily a major downside -- was that the universe seemed heavily influenced by Roger Dean without any credit given to Dean himself. The stone arches, the floating islands and the creature design with the colorful butterfly patterns were straight out of the Roger Dean sci-fi album cover universe.
