The Latest Republican Attack Ad
Oh wait. That was produced by the FDL people. Goddamn.
Look, I'm all for accountability, but there's a way to do it smartly. This isn't smart. It's hamfisted and politically infantile. Why? The Republicans could easily use this exact transcript and change the tag. Such a strategy doesn't help anyone except the Republicans.

FU Cesca. You're the infantile cheerleader. At least FDL reports accurately and is doing something to hold Obama accountable. What are you doing? Cheerleading as usual.
I haven't been at this site in weeks and this is the very post I see. All I can say is, wow - no surprise there.

And we all know we'd be much better off if the Republicans were in charge, huh?????????
Wait for the infantile wailing when we get our asses handed to us in 2010 or possibly even 2012. We should be damn thankful for Obama.
If nothing else consider what the structure of the SCOTUS would look like by 2012 if McCain had been elected. How many Alito's and Scalia's can we handle?
And think "lifetime appointments"! Time to grow up and realize that we can't always get everything "our way".

Jane has lost her marbles. She's the idiot who thinks she's helping. No mention of the deal reached Jane? This stupid bitch has joined teabaggers. This bill will be passed and the left will continue to fight for improvements. What will Jane do once it's passed? We all know that the President was not for taxing benefits but, it's clear that taxing just the rich still won't cover the costs. Perhaps they can fine additional ways to do this but, Jane is part of the "kill the billers" who believe we could do that without any loss of political capital. She's sounds as dumb as a box of rocks, which is why she's now marginalized herself. Fuck you Jane! Go vote for Republicans and teabaggers. You fit right in and they're just dying to reform healthcare for us all!

@Allen: Where, exactly, do you see Obama cheerleading in thisd point Or is it your contewntion that if you don't agree with everything FDL does, you are automatically supporting what the President does? Seems someone is lacking in critical thinking here, and that someone isn't Bob.

@Allen:
Read my post again: "I'm all for accountability, but there's a way to do it smartly."
I think if you read the main page of this site you'll see me criticizing the White House on their deficit reduction lark.
But I guess it's easier for you to engage in kneejerk reactions like a true wingnut.

I think the word infantile is a bit of an understatement.
Irresponsible also comes to mind.

Anyone who would team with Norquist as Hamsher did is no true progressive. So FU too Allen.

Infantile and self-defeating politically, but not for Hamsher financially. Web traffic is up, plenty of invitations to flap her gums on MSNBC... The word 'whore' comes to mind but some might consider that offensive.
Do I really believe she's going off the deep end for money? Yes. She and Arianna are peas in a pod. Turds in the same bowl. Pick your analogy.

I won't even go to the FDL site any more (going Galt on my hits). What sort of a "victory" would FDL get by killing health care reform? What's the path from there to a better bill? There is objectively NO path that gets a health care reform bill, and virtually certain Republican control of the House in 2010. Does Jane really want to be responsible for that? Apparently, yes, so long as she gets hits on her web site.
F her.

You sober serious adults are morons. There's nothing wrong with what FDL is doing. It's called advocating for your position and holding politicians accountable. I agree with Cesca on this though when they do something you like or better yet follow through on their promises then it's time to applaud and heap praise but if pols don't behave honestly and transparently and we don't punish them then they understand that deceit is an acceptable and profitable position to take. We only have so many tools at our disposal and I myself am grateful for FDL's and Cesca's advocacy but with the fear of losing the only thing we 2 tier citizens have, our vote. Then they won't fear us and their lies will profit only them and not us or society. Finally, it's still a no brained, I mean how much worse might this all be if it were McCain and Palin. **shudder**
