Senate Democrats? Hello? Anybody Home?

I've had Morning Joe on since around 7 a.m. this morning and I haven't seen a single Senate Democrat on television yelling about how all but five Republicans filibustered the jobs bill yesterday.

A jobs bill, I might add, that's almost entirely made up of tax cuts. You know. Tax cuts. The words that Sarah Palin wrote on her hand. Arguably the mother of all Republican policy priorities.

Once again, the Democrats have passed another bill despite this myth that they can't get anything done (they have) and no one will really understand how it went down or who gets credit for it because the Democrats are utter failures at ballyhooing their victories.

In fact, the only mention on cable news today involved a rundown of the five Republicans who voted for it. So if I'm a casual observer of politics I'm thinking the Republicans passed a big tax cut for small businesses. Nothing on television this morning proves otherwise and it's entirely the Democrats' fault.

Pathetic.
