The Obama Record on the Economy

The red bars represent recession unemployment under Bush, and the blue bars represent President Obama's jobless numbers. (Click to enlarge)

And people are actually thinking about voting for Republicans again? Really?! Not to be rude or anything, but what's wrong with you people?

And that's just "Main Street." What about Wall Street? I made this chart based on the Google Finance stock market ticker a while back. The Dow is steadily hovering above 10,000 now.

So we should what? Vote Republican? That's rich.

Democrats had better start articulating this, or else they will be replaced by Republicans.

Congrats on getting your shovelin' done, Bob. You must now know EXACTLY what it feels like to be Sarah Palin, what with all that snow and all, and such and so forth. Welcome to Wasilla, PA.

Also, too, now that you have that two feet of snow, can't you just see global temps dropping by the minute? At this pace, we'll be in a new ice age in ten hours.

Adding... Just like Bush!

@PPP: Yeah, just because there's a weekend with a snow storm in Pennsylvania means the average global temperature for the whole year is BLIZZARD!

You'll never see me apologize for calling America's electorate stupid! A second Bush term is absolute proof.

That and 70 to 80% of the electorate where I live are in fact STUPID!

Kansas, they're stupid here in California too, but at least they're stupid enough to vote for democrats. Let's face it....most voters are totally uninformed.

As for the jobs, if we're gaining jobs by November, prospects will be much better for the democrats. People are impatient. Those who have lost their jobs and been able to survive through their many unemployment extensions don't appreciate what democrats did for them. They just want to know why no one's hiring them.

Look, with a GUN to my head you couldn't get me to vote republican. Like, ever. (Unless the republican in question was some really hot chick who made me voting for her a condition of us having sex. But like that's ever gonna happen.)

Any-hoo, those numbers are deceiving. The market she-a goes up? And the market she-a goes down. I hate to say this (I mean I literally hate to have to write these words) but the only reason the market's went up as much as it did since last March was because they (Bush & Obama both) gave the banks an endless supply of money to borrow from the Fed window @ 0% interest. Well, what do you think they did with this money? That's right - they poured in into stocks. (Also, do some research on the President's Working Group on Financial Markets, for a little insight; the Government own hand is involved in keeping the DOW above 10K.)

Notice the plunge we've had in the last week? (you take the stairs up, but the elevator down.) You think it's a coincidence that all that occurred at a time when O's sicking Volcker on the Banks? The market will continue to go down until he backs off (sigh... he will.)

Oh, and incidentally, that's OUR tax money they're using to prop up the market. Nice, huh?

And as for the job numbers - it's all bullshit. Look for major, major "revisions" in the next year. When the historians and the economists tell us - in hindsight - the the REAL unemployment rate was/is really around 18%.

But, let my qualify that comment by saying that, by all means, let us use those charts and graphs to our best advantage in keeping those refucklacans out of office for as long as we possible can. Like they wouldn't shove them down the electorate's stupid faces if it were them that were fighting to retain control.

(Let's just keep it among ourselves that it's all bullshit, shall we?)
