Republicans Love, Hate the BP Escrow Fund

Classic Daily Show takedown of Republican contradictions and flip-flopping -- including a doozy from Boss Hogg:

How did I miss that Haley Barbour quote? Here it is for the record:

"It bothers me to talk about causing an escrow to be made, uh, which will, which makes it less likely that they'll make the income that they need to pay us." Boss Hogg

This man is an elected governor and potential 2012 presidential candidate. Seriously.

The diagram showing oil below a mile of water and 2 1/2 miles of rock and Jon saying that God had done his part was the best.

Barbour is a twit but Bachmann takes the cake.

He also used to be head of the RNC, so there's that.

you actually did post something where he was shown or quoted saying this.
I tried to go back to find it but there was a lot of troll talk going on.

He, Bachmann, and Palin give me nightmares. Rand Paul may be a future nightmare.

It continually amazes me as to what passes for credibility in the Party of Contards.

Update on McChrystal:

Appearing on CNN on Tuesday afternoon, Klein said, "I think he's probably going to lose his job. A little bit of news: I was just talking to a very reliable source who tells me that McChrystal has submitted his resignation and it's going to be up to the president...to accept it or not tomorrow." After the television appearance, Klein clarified that his source says McChrystal has offered to resign, but has not officially submitted his resignation

NBC's Chuck Todd tweeted on Tuesday evening, "Senior admin aides: McCrystal has not offered his resignation but has informed superiors he is prepared to do so... There is a path for Gen. McCrystal to save his job; everything depends on how the meeting w/POTUS goes tomorrow morning."
