Beck Thinks Freedom of Religion is Dying
Appropriate to what Elvis and I were talking about on the podcast today, Glenn Beck thinks freedom of religion is going to be rescinded somehow.
Again, Beck's tea party followers are protesting at mosques and protesting against Six Flags having a Muslim day, so yeah, I guess Beck is correct. He's just targeting the wrong suspect.
Meanwhile, if religions, especially evangelical Christians, want to thrust the Bible into secular law, they should be prepared to have secular law thrust itself into churches. Once you break down the separation clause, the door swings both ways.

I'm just anti-religion, period.
I really would like to see the Feds tax the damn churches which are becoming bolder and bolder in inserting themselves in to secular issues. Infuriating.

Technology and higher conciousness will replace religion in the not-too-distant future.
So Beck and his bed-wetting is all for nothing.
I guess it stirs up his fundie listeners. Anything for money right?

The first step in restoring freedom of religion is prohibiting mosques near the ground zero. Strip clubs, on the other hand, are fine.

No, no, Bob. Glenn Beck doesn't think freedom of religion is dying. Not for one minute. He SAYS freedom of religion is dying.

What a con man, he is so transparent it's not funny. But his followers can't see through him for some reason, call it stupidity, whatever.
I just finished writing a post based on this story from Raw Story (http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/0719/exclusive-christian-group-calls-glenn-beck-attacks-faith/) about some pushback from some Christian groups and now he fights back with a trumped up "war on freedom of religion". Of course, fear is the only think he has left to play with, the emperor has no clothes.
Great work Bob, and excellent column at Huffpost.

Mormons are now running ads on TV and radio trying to show they are cool and normal(Mormon mom paints instead of spends time in kitchen, guy rides motorcycle). I wonder if Beck is embarrassing his own.
