Go Anthony Weiner!
Rep. Weiner totally rips into the Republicans for obstructing a healthcare bill for 9/11 heroes.
What he said. You don't eff with New York.

THIS is how you address obstructionist cunts who fuck over the people, abdicate the responsibilities of the job for partisan political gain and shallow, vicious tactics.
THIS is what the Dems need, in spades, twice daily or as necessary.
THIS is how you talk to petty, vicious, incompetent cunts when they stand in the way of those who are trying to get some fucking work done.
Weiner, Grayson and Franken ought to be teaching a class - How to Address the GOP.
Franken, being the most genial, would teach the intro level.
Grayson, being the most stubborn and the one I want on my side in a bar fight, teaches GOPSOP 201.
Weiner picks up the advanced class - 301.
Franken does the graduate seminar - Sarcasm and Irony
IMAGINE, if the shitastic crapfest of rotten obstructionism were met regularly with this sort of answer: "No! The gentleman will sit down! I will NOT yield!"
Back when that sonuvawhore shouted "You LIE!"...I wanted Barack to walk right up to him...ask him to his face - nose to NOSE, "Who the fuck do you think you're calling a liar, you ignorant, backward little shit?"
Go all Alexander Hamilton on his fuckwit cracker ass.
They sit silently, letting the ignorant wing of their base talk about insurrection, revolution, armed resistance...
Well, fuck that noise. And fuck the stubborn, petulant, malfeasant manner in which the GOP pretends to operate.
The time has come to get ALL the way up in their stunned Boehner, McConnell, Cantor faces.
Four months to midterms - like the last 20 seconds of the round. Time to come off the ropes and unload some heavy combinations. No more jabs...no more rope-a-dope. Time to open up some cuts and crack a few ribs.

Yup. This should be happening in both chambers every day. Harry Reid would be clutching his pearls and heading for the fainting couch if someone did that in his Senate.
I'm sick of concessions, watering down, cave ins to these hacks and they still vote no. Hell, without Franken, Grayson and Weiner we wouldn't have a damn soul standing up for anything.

Two wars that are bankrupting the country. Millions of Americans losing their homes. State goverments going broke and laying off teachers, cops and firefighters by the thousands. Millions of Americans out of work. 20% of America's children living in poverty....
IT'S ABOUT FUCKING TIME SOMEONE IN CONGRESS STARTED FUCKING CALLING OUT REPUBLICANS WHO DON'T GIVE A SHIT!

What cousinavi said!
And then some.
The time for making nice is waaaay past over.
There's no reasoning with these assholes. They reside in an alternate universe. Let them stay there and let's (to co-opt a phrase) "take our country back".
Fortunately for me, I don't come into contact with wingnuts on a regular basis. None in my family & my immediate circle of friends doesn't include any either. Since my recent move back to the states I still walk around in Caribbean Obama shirts waiting for the random wingnut comment but to no avail. Apparently I don't look like somebody they'd like to fuck with?
Hell, at this point I'm a little old man. Try me out, wingnuts. If you dare...

What everyone said. Especially cousinavi.
And welcome, Ajabu, Canadian Simon, and Jan! :)

I would argue that the last thing we need is for President Obama to lose his cool. At the risk of sounding as racist as the fuckwits on the other side of the aisle, he's black. A black man getting that angry is going to be the Republicans wet dream come true in their nonstop attack on white America's prejudice and fears.
That said, we need more of this in Congress, and especially in the Senate. Deliberation is great, when it's real and genuine.

Standing "O" goes to Rep. Weiner and to cousinav!!
It's a shame that every representative and senator isn't held more accountable for their votes - no matter what side of the aisle they're on.
I'd respect more someone who said they voted for or against a bill because they believe it's the right thing to do then any of these asshats that filibuster or put secret holds on measures.
Like indyinwc said, probably not showing this much on Fox "News".

Has this clip run on ANY news outlet other than CSAN?

We don't need the president acting like this. Next thing you see in the news is that Obama is having a breakdown.

Ben- it was on Morning Blow this morning.

@ Allonfla
No...no one needs the PRESIDENT acting like this.
Nor do we need (or want) the General in the forward trenches.
But there are forward trenches, and we need some serious, mean motherfuckers up there.
We need those few who can direct righteous anger at the enemy; who can use words surgically to expose the festering, gangrenous rot across the aisle; who will not be slowed or distracted by the threat of lobbyists taking away their perks, payola and privilege.
NEGOTIATING with these craven bastards leads only to destruction and doom. They will never compromise, and it alienates the base.
Want to see the progressives unite? Empty the clip and run stabby with the bayonet at the lying, incompetent fuckers.
Standing around letting bullies push and punch at will ain't no way to rally the troops.
It's Winston Churchill time.

I agree with Tim. The president needs to keep his cool, but everyone else ought to let fly.

@ Bob
Agreed. To a point.
It is entirely possible to maintain one's cool and still come off like a hard, not-taking-anymore-of-this-shit LEADER.
IMO, Barack has played compromise card, after conciliatory card, after bipartisan card...
I understand calm and steady. It has been working since the primaries - even when everyone was begging for him to strike back. He's the tortoise - slow and steady wins the race.
I just think it's time to find a balance between slow and steady and SNAPPING TURTLE.

@ Crone
Teddy. And Bobby. And Jack.
There was something about being the sons of a criminal rum running Marble Head gangster that gave those Kennedy boys some brass.
Bobby took on the mob and, so the story goes, the very mobsters that put his brother in the White House.
Jack went to the brink of thermonuclear war.
BO clearly has brains, and style, and class, and vision, and restraint...he gives great speeches.
He's already accomplished an almost Stygian stables list of REAL goals, for which he gets no credit.
If he would just show some cojones.
I understand perfectly well that ANY sort of strong play from Obama will suffer attacks of all vile stripes...BUT THEY DO THAT NOW ANYWAY.
The man goes on The View - he SNUBBED The Boy Scouts.
If he fucking well cured cancer, they'd attack him for ignoring AIDS.
It seems to me that the argument, "Obama HAS to be cooler than cool BECAUSE he's black" only plays into the disgusting bullshit that properly NEEDS to be slapped down with an aggressive, "OH NO YOU DIDN'T!"
Fuck it. I guess I'm something of a reactionary...but it wouldn't bother me one little bit to see fire hoses and police dogs turned on a bunch of cracker protesters marching to demand a fucking birth certificate. That's rather a perfectly balanced pendulum, n'est pas?
I'm not looking for shouting like Weiner, or threats of fisticuffs like Grayson, or even the sort of vicious, incisive, slice-to-the-bone rhetoric that comes outta Franken - after all, Barack is only a lawyer.
But an occasional, "Sit your ass down and shut the fuck up. I'm DRIVING here!" would go a long way to getting his license renewed.
The hypocrisy, lies, contradictions; the laundry list of hideous, malfeasant, backward, reprehensible shit emanating from the GOP since the inauguration makes for a rather target rich environment. The fucking clowns hang themselves! Bachmann, Issa, Cantor, Boehner, Steele, DeMint, Visser, Jindal...Rush, Beck, Malkin, Ingraham, Breitbart...it's like some kind of joke carnival game.
But the constant yammering from the Zomblicans, in the current media environment, is pushing numbers, and no one seems to be pushing back...save Weiner.
And it's not about being perfectly wonky. Rachel Maddow does that exceedingly well, but her show is something like 16th - behind Bill, Glenn, Sean...jesus, even that blithering gasbag Cavuto!
Who else does wonk well? Kerry. Oh, for fuck sakes! Save us from ourselves!
This rambling, drunken post has gone on too long, so I'll try to wrap it up here.
There is a saying in law: Justice must not only be done, it must be SEEN to be done.
The president must not only lead, he must be SEEN to lead.
He's not campaigning anymore. He's got the job. Sometimes you sit back and wait. Other times, you take Luca Brasi along and make someone an offer they can't refuse.

"Empty the clip and run stabby with the bayonet at the lying, incompetent fuckers."
I'll probably think about this later, and at no particular time have a quiet laugh.
And good on A.W.
I'd like to see Senate and House (in)activity summaries on every news channel, federal and state, every night-- with some video and context and expose publicly-- and far more often-- the corrupted little games and insincere maneuvering that is being done regularly in unprecedented manner and morally filibusted tact in the name of the American people.
Some morning sunshine in the vampire caves would sort some things out and clear some things up.

President Obama can be more firm, perhaps, but the moment he looks angry, he's just another, "angry black man." Remember what happened with the Joe Wilson fiasco: for a few minutes, the story was about the fucktard who yelled out during the President's address. For -WEEKS- the story was about the "look that could kill" Obama gave said fucktard.
Obama's main strength is not, as many people think, his intellect, nor his seemingly above-the-fray presence. It's his calm, which I don't think most of us can ever match. If it weren't for his calm, he would have been unelectable. If it wasn't for his calm now, his approval rating would be at Bush levels.
And while I hate to once again delve into the mindset of racists, if it wasn't for his calm, the fears many of us had when he -was- elected may well have come true by now. That is, Vice President Biden would lose that first word of his title.

Come on people, leave Prez O to be Prez O.
Ever heard the saying 'silent but deadly'!Make no mistake, this man is no pushover, and too 'there is more than one way to skin a cat' ! The Prez may not rant, rave and misbehave, but he gets his business done. Maybe this is his most effective way of dealing! Do read " The Benefits of the Slow Struggle on Andrew Sullivan's blog today.
Always love Weiner for his directness and forthrightness. Go, Anthony, give 'em hell!
