The far-right is targeting Mitch McConnell's plan to allow the president to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling. Erick Erickson is especially pissed.
"It's Time to Burn Mitch McConnell in Effigy," read the headline on a post by Red State's Erick Erickson. He later changed it, writing "I decided to make the title less incendiary."
The new version? "Mitch McConnell Just Proposed the 'Pontius Pilate Pass the Buck Act of 2011.'"

Seriously, this is precisely why the Republicans are screwed. Anything sensible they propose will instantly be burned in effigy by the wingnut right. Brilliant.
Funny how circumstances have turned so quickly in favor of the president. Now it's time to wrap this up so Washington stops dicking around on the edge of another recession, and the grown-ups can get back to business.
