Worst Person in the World

Infamous artist and author Frank Miller is no fan of the 99% movement occupying various locations across the country. Here's how he describes this group of people.

Renowned comic book artist and film director Frank Miller sure doesn’t have positive feelings on ‘Occupy’ protests. [...]

The ‘Occupy’ movement, whether displaying itself on Wall Street or in the streets of Oakland (which has, with unspeakable cowardice, embraced it) is anything but an exercise of our blessed First Amendment,” he wrote. “‘Occupy’ is nothing but a pack of louts, thieves, and rapists, an unruly mob, fed by Woodstock-era nostalgia and putrid false righteousness. These clowns can do nothing but harm America.” [...]

“This is no popular uprising,” he continued. “This is garbage. And goodness knows they’re spewing their garbage – both politically and physically – every which way they can find.”

Miller later called the protests “schmucks” and added, “In the name of decency, go home to your parents, you losers. Go back to your mommas’ basements and play with your Lords Of Warcraft.”

To recap = the 99% movement is made up of "thieves, rapists, and self-righteous, basement-dwelling schmucks."

Someone has clearly been drinking the Fox Koolaid.

I am embarrassed to say that I own some of Frank Miller's work, and will promptly be getting rid of it. And I have no doubt that many in the industry will be embarrassed by Miller's words too, as most of the comic and graphic novel community has been quite supportive of the movement which has even been featured, in a sympathetic manner, in many recent issues.

I hope Miller's career tanks.
