American Auto Industry = Chicago-style Politics

As we discussed yesterday, the Eastwood Super Bowl commercial was even-handed x 1000. It called for cooperation and further progress to return America to dominance on the road. Evidently, Karl Rove and the Republicans think this is all about "Chicago-style" (black) politics.

"I was, frankly, offended by it. I'm a huge fan of Clint Eastwood, I thought it was an extremely well-done ad, but it is a sign of what happens when you have Chicago-style politics, and the president of the United States and his political minions are, in essence, using our tax dollars to buy corporate advertising and the best-wishes of the management which is benefited by getting a bunch of our money that they'll never pay back."

These people are paranoid demagogues with clownish leadership and a dwindling voter base. This reaction doesn't surprise me in the slightest. They'd shove their own mothers into a wood chipper and blame the president and his "Kenyan anti-colonial Chicago politics" for the blood spatter on the other end.
