Scott Walker’s Plans Hit Another Snag

The last time we checked in on Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker on his quest to create 250,000 jobs, he was well on his way to doing so sometime in the next 50 years.

Now Governor Walker's plans have hit another snag. According to new numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Wisconsin experienced the largest one year drop in employment in the nation between 2011 and 2012.

Over the year, nonfarm employment increased in 45 states and the District of Columbia, decreased in 4 states, and was unchanged in Alabama. The largest over-the-year percentage increase occurred in North Dakota (+6.5 percent). The largest over-the-year percentage decrease in employment occurred in Wisconsin (-0.9 percent).

Not 2, not 3, not 5, not 6, 250,000 jobs!

Personally, I would be fairly embarrassed to be the worst in the country, trailing even Alabama.

This is not your father's Wisconsin.
