I’m Mitt Romney and I Endorse Heckling

Mitt Romney told Fox News today that it would be nice if his campaign staff stopped being dicks, but he doesn't believe they should stop being dicks.

He told Fox News Radio on Tuesday that he doesn’t believe in “unilateral disarmament,” but said it would “be a nice thing” if both sides would stop yelling at each other during campaign events. … Romney was asked if he would also condemn heckling during Obama events. He declined.

It would "be a nice thing" if both sides stopped heckling each other except both sides aren't heckling each other, and use of the phrase "unilateral disarmament" implies that both sides are in a heckling arms-race.

Romney staffers heckled President Obama during a recent speech and then a week later circled an Obama campaign event in the Romney campaign bus honking the horn. These are actions taken by campaign staff officially associated with the Romney campaign.

Staff members of the Obama campaign have not personally heckled Romney during his stops.

The Democratic party is running a "middle class under the bus" tour, but it is a separate tour not directly interfering with Romney campaign events.
