The Media

Jake Tapper Drinks the Halperin Kool-Aid

This is crazy wrong. Jake Tapper -- you know, another member of the liberal media, appeared on Laura Ingraham's show and said this:

“I have said before… [that I] thought the media helped tip the scales. I didn’t think the coverage in 2008 was especially fair to either Hilary Clinton or John McCain,” said Tapper. “Sometimes I saw with story selection, magazine covers, photos picked, [the] campaign narrative, that it wasn’t always the fairest coverage.”

Oh really? I repeat from my Halperin column the other day:

So when the press spent two years reinforcing a false rumor that President Obama was secretly a radical Muslim; or that he was “the most liberal senator” (he’s not); or repeatedly calling him “Osama”; or airing the Rev. Wright tapes around the clock for an entire month; or wondering whether the president was “one of us”; or questioning whether or not the president was too “presumptuous”; or repeating McCain talking points that the president was a socialist (he’s not); or that the president will never be able to reconcile with the Clintons; or reporting that the First Lady hates America (she doesn’t) — somehow this is proof that the media showed an “extreme pro-Obama” bias? By the way, most of this paragraph was culled from MSNBC. You know, the liberal cable network.

And by the way:

Which media would that be? Half of broadcast radio — all of the AM dial — which is occupied by thousands of hours of right-wing propaganda? Surely [Halperin/Tapper] can’t be talking about the most popular cable news network, Fox News Channel, or its lower rating sister, Fox Business. Or what about its parent company News Corp, which owns multiple major market newspapers including the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post? Let’s talk about MSNBC where, other than several prime time shows, bends over backwards to paint each side as equally wrong. Are [Halperin/Tapper] talking about Drudge who [Halperin] claimed “rules [the media's] world”?

Ridiculous. And this guy is considered to be a Very Serious reporter. I hope he's paying Halperin a royalty on this crapola.

Tapper is a complete douche and as Nicole473 points out below, that Crooks and Liars article she posted below was exhibit A. I read that the other day since I don’t watch any of the Sunday shows and it really pissed me off. As usual, I didn’t miss much. Tapper also had the nerve to tell the President, after his press conference the other day “Don’t Be A Stranger Mr. President”. Why wouldn’t he avoid talking to these idiots when they ask questions about the tone of an ad that he didn’t produce as he schooled them on? I was glad the President basically scolded them for worrying about that super pac ad while ignoring Romney’s bullshit welfare ad which was produced by him. That bastard is also repeating this lie on the stump. Shouldn’t they be concerned about a Presidential candidate who repeatedly lies? Fuck off Jake! Go back to sniffing under sofa pillows and car seats for more Monica type stories. It’s what you folks do best!

Tapper also drank the Social Security koolade, and went on about it at length on ‘This Week’ last Sunday. Jake Tapper is a stupid, uninformed dick.

Halperin, the new prescription medication for treatment of liberal media bias. Side effects may include logorrhea, stupidity, ass-vomiting, smugness, false equivalency, Fox trots, bullshit-blindness, more stupidity, cranial anal insertion syndrome, to name just a few.

      Trots of the mouth…. hehe

I think the media did look at Candidate Obama in a favorable light when he was the underdog, but once he started winning, the media changed its tone. The month of wall-to-wall Rev. Wright is evidence enough that Tapper is full of shit, and always has been.

Maybe he’s looking for a job change? The way the “liberal” media refuses to call at faux as a propaganda machine will accelerate their downfall.

Another drop in the sea of contradictions that makes up the GOP fan base.

Somehow, Fox News is the most popular, most watched, most trusted news outlet on the planet, yet simultaneously a powerless, solitary outlier subjugated and drowned out by the “liberal” “mainstream media.”

“journalists” like tapper say stupid things like that so they can have and “in” with conservative media because they pay well.
