Quote of the Morning

"I apologized but the liberal media is trying to make me drop out." Todd Akin via Twitter

Would this be the "liberal media" that includes Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity who are all collectively demanding that Akin drop out? Holy hell, when you say something too stupid for Hannity, Limbaugh and Palin, and you consider them to be a part of the "liberal media," you're insanely far-right.

Anyway, it's too late. Akin missed the drop out deadline in Missouri. You're stuck with this doofus, Republicans.

And now the Republicans will have to be talking about abortion for the next few weeks instead of the economy.

    Hit them hard and often.

The “Liberal Media” is just a term they use they redefine to mean something they don’t agree with. There may be a correct use for it, but not how they use it…Much like “politically correct” can be used correctly but many people use just to mean anything that may seem factually accurate but different from what they “grew up” with.

“Anyway, it’s too late. Akin missed the drop out deadline in Missouri. You’re stuck with this doofus, Republicans.”

And no one deserves him more!

The thing is, the “doofus” still has a good chance of winning. He’s still ahead in the polls. He didn’t alienate his base at all — he just said what they think.

Evident in the platform plank they voted on yesterday.

Silly Brut, everybody knows they’re Obama’s fault.

[for all values of ‘everybody’ = Rush Limbaugh.]

    Seems like a legitimate gripe…

Akin has a limited number of buttons to push for answers…this was probably the only one that he felt was suitable.

Maddow pointed out that he has 6 more weeks before he really truly can’t drop out as long as he petitions the court. But of course it won’t happen, the GOP didn’t support him when he ran in the first place anyway, so obviously this guy is a long-term douche.
