Benghazi Attack Suspect in Custody

I assure you, the far-right conspiracy fetishists won’t acknowledge this. And if they do, it’ll be in the form of yet another conspiracy.

A man suspected of involvement in the September attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi is being held in Libya, according to two sources who have spoken with CNN.

Both sources confirmed the man’s name as Faraj al-Shibli (also spelled Chalabi). One of the sources, who has been briefed on the arrest by Western intelligence officials, said al-Shibli was detained within the past two days and had recently returned from a trip to Pakistan.

You know, there’s something to be said about the conspiracy paranoiacs on the far-right and the far-left coming together via Rand Paul who’s probably the biggest conspiracy fetishist in the Senate — a guy who not only thinks the president failed to kill the Benghazi attackers without due process, but who also thought Chris Stevens was funneling al-Qaida weapons from Libya to Syria. Pathetic and shameful.
